In May, we shared how the AMI Insurance team showed up for us, and they've done it again! 🙌
On 11 June, seven AMI volunteers rolled up their sleeves and helped paint Sheryl's home in Clevedon alongside our Habitat for Humanity Northern Region team. 🎨🏡
Over the years, AMI's team has contributed thousands of volunteer hours alongside us — and every single one makes a difference. This is what partnership in action truly looks like: not just a logo on a page, but people showing up, getting their hands dirty, and helping build stronger communities alongside us.
Thank you AMI Insurance for your gift of time and energy. We are so grateful to have you with us in our mission to build homes, communities, and hope.

This World Refugee Day, under the theme Until Everyone is Safe, we’re reminded that resilience begins with dignity. And dignity begins with safe shelter, clean water, and the ability to rebuild.
In Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, more than a million Rohingya refugees continue to face monsoon rains, fragile bamboo shelters, and limited access to sanitation in one of the world’s most hazard‑prone settlements.
Over the past year, our partnership with Habitat for Humanity Bangladesh has helped repair 300 shelters, restore 200 water and sanitation facilities, train more than 500 community members in safer building techniques, and support community‑led Clean Camp campaigns and inclusive WASH upgrades.
Habitat New Zealand remains committed to standing with Rohingya refugees because until everyone is safe, our work isn’t done. Everyone deserves a safe place to call home.

This National Volunteer Week, we’re celebrating the people who give their time, skills and heart to communities in Aotearoa and around the world.
In May, a Global Village (GV) team from Habitat for Humanity New Zealand travelled to Da Nang, Vietnam, where they built alongside for Humanity Vietnam, local community members and Ms. Sen, a single mother of three - helping create a safe home for her family.
What they built together was more than a house. It was connection, partnership, laughter, shared experiences and memories that will last a lifetime.
The GV team lead, Carina from for Humanity Northern captured the experience in a poem after the trip - reflecting on the friendships, challenges and moments that made the week so special.
Because together, we build more than homes. We build communities and hope. 💙

More than 80 representatives from across the Pacific came together in Suva, Fiji for the Pacific Housing Forum 2026.
During the Forum, government representatives, community leaders, development partners, academics and housing practitioners shared ideas, experiences and solutions to help make safe, resilient and affordable housing more accessible across the region.
While the housing challenges facing the Pacific are significant, the Forum was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when people come together with a shared purpose.
Thank you to Habitat for Humanity Fiji for hosting this important event, and to everyone who contributed their knowledge, experience and commitment to building a better future, including representatives from ADRA Samoa and Live & Learn Tonga -Climate Resilient Island Program.
Because stronger communities start with a home.

This National Volunteer Week we’re celebrating the incredible volunteers who give their time, skills and energy to help build stronger communities across Aotearoa.
Every day, Habitat volunteers show up in different ways - sewing curtains to create warmer homes, giving their time at our op-shop ReStores that supports our mission, building overseas with Global Village and helping spread the message about the importance of safe, affordable housing.
No matter how they get involved, every volunteer helps build something bigger: homes, connection, opportunity and hope.
Today, and every day, we thank our volunteers for being part of a movement working towards a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Thank you for standing by our side. 💙

Manuia le Vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa.
This Samoan Language Week, we're celebrating the voices and experiences of the communities we work alongside in Samoa.
For Atina'e, a safe community shelter means families living close to the sea have a place to turn when disasters strike.
Through community-led planning and resilience initiatives, delivered in partnership with ADRA Samoa, villages are identifying local solutions that help protect children, older people, people with disabilities and future generations.
Together, we're building safer, stronger communities.

Manuia le Vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa.
This Samoan Language Week, we're celebrating the voices, stories and knowledge of the communities we work alongside in Samoa.
For Meresaini, the skills gained through Build Back Safer and Basic Home Plumbing training delivered in partnership with ADRA Samoa didn't end when the workshops finished. She has gone on to use those skills to support her community, helping maintain the Women's Committee house in Salesatele, Samoa.
Every skill learned, every problem solved and every act of service helps build stronger, more resilient communities.
