Growing up as a child my Mum read this magazine, but I never thought that one day I would be in it, and accompanied by three of the other most beautiful women/girls in my life.
Out now, the New Zealand Women’s Weekly.

Stuff.co.nz reporter Amberleigh Patterson has written a great article about some of the savings that can be made when planning a wedding. Cheap can often be mistaken for a compromise in quality, but that isn’t the case. It was a pleasure to be asked for my 2-cents and to contribute to this article along side two other great NZ celebrants.
Have a read…… thanks Stuff!!

Kelvin & Ashleigh's love for wine took us on a trip to one of the most unique and stunning wedding venues I have been.
Gibbston Valley in Queenstown.
This was a very small wedding with their beautiful daughter Scarlett as one of the witnesses, a real treat and a special way for her to be part of a very special day. We ate delicious food, drank amazing wine and got to see some of the stunning scenery the region has on offer.
Thanks for having me friends and allowing me to be a special part of a ceremony and day perfect for you and your lovely wee family. Your photos are incredible and have perfectly captured the exact moments, mood and feel of your day.
Massive props and photo credits to Kellie Francis Photography, amazing!!

Its awesome when you get the opportunity to work with couples you have met before. In this case, I met Sarah & Garth at Sarah's brothers wedding on Waiheke Island a few years earlier. We had such a great time catching up for a few beers and a chat while planning the big day. Then Mr COVID came along and messed $h!t up..... I remember the day we had to make the call to postpone the wedding (which we were days away from), it was heart breaking for everyone involved but we still managed to have a laugh that night while catching up on a Facetime call in our PJ's (even though Garth looks like he is in the n**e).
Once NZ settled down, the planning was back underway & the end result was something AMAZING!! I always like to go over and above for my couples and make the day something special, unique, cruisy and funny. This day was no different.
Check out the photos for yourself by Charlotte Christian Photography, you can feel the good vibes and energy we bought to Markovina Vineyard Estate that day.

Charlotte Christian is one of the best photographers in the wedding game. We have run in to each other on the wedding circuit a few times over the years and as a wedding photographer you get exposed to a whole pile of different celebrants, each one of us with our own unique style & ways of working. So for me, I was absolutely flattered when Charlie & Cam picked me to be their celebrant. There really is no bigger compliment!!
Charlie and Cams plans for a wedding were originally a lot different. After a series of events and the added complexity of COVID19, plans had to change. In saying that, this wedding & celebration is the perfect example and demonstration of how love and the right combination of people, can overcome any situation and enjoy the moment just as much if not more than before!!
Thanks for having me with you on this journey Charlie & Cam, see you on the circuit again soon!!!

I first met Simon & Drew at another wedding in 2018. After the ceremony had concluded, I must have left an impression on them because they asked me if I do “same s*x marriages” and would be interested in working with them. My answer was, “I do marriages”. In New Zealand we are very lucky that a marriage between two people is recognised as an equal binding regardless of what’s dangling, or tucked up between your legs. As person and as a celebrant, I happily & willingly embrace people from all walks of life.
Simon & Drew both live in China but have strong ties back to NZ, for 2-years we stayed in touch, got to know each other & caught up for a drink & some fine food whenever they were in town. We all became great friends & I loved being their with them, their friends and family on this day!!
Kia kaha boys, come home safe soon!!
