At Friday’s official opening of Greenslade Court in Northcote – our wonderful new apartment development purposely-built to provide affordable rental housing for seniors – we were delighted to be joined by the Minister for Seniors, the Hon Casey Costello. The Minister is pictured celebrating the occasion with new tenant John Kite.

Auckland’s shortage of quality, affordable rental housing for older people has received a significant boost today with the opening of Haumaru Housing’s new Greenslade Court apartment complex in Northcote – a purpose-built development offering warm, dry homes for seniors in the heart of a revitalised community. The five-storey building provides 52 one-bedroom rental apartments, designed specifically for older tenants. Demand has been high, with all 55 new residents (including three couples) due to move in by the end of August. Wishing all our incoming tenants good health and happiness, as they settle into their wonderful new home.
