حققت سلطنة عُمان في عام 2026م ارتفاعاً في مؤشر الحرية الاقتصادية مقارنة بالعام الماضي، والتي تصدره مؤسسة هيرتيج فاونديشن (Heritage Foundation)، حيث حافظت على فئتها لتقع ضمن فئة "حر إلى حد ما" مع ارتفاع عالمي وإقليمي على مستوى الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا.

Sultanate of Oman recorded an improvement in the 2026 Index of Economic Freedom compared to the previous year. The index is issued by the Heritage Foundation, where Oman maintained its classification within the “Moderately Free” category, alongside an overall improvement globally and across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

شارك البرنامج الوطني لتنمية القطاع الخاص والتجارة الخارجية #نزدهر في حفل توقيع اتفاقية استثمارية ما بين الشركة العمانية لدرفلة الألمنيوم "أوارك" - إحدى الشركات التابعة لمجموعة أوكيو - مع شركة "ملتي بوند ميتال" لدعم توسعة خط إنتاج متقدم لطلاء وصناعة لفائف الألمنيوم في صحار، وذلك في مقر سفارة سلطنة عُمان بنيودلهي ضمن الفعاليات الترويجية لقطاع الألمنيوم، حيث يأتي توقيع الاتفاقية بالتعاون مع مدينة صحار الصناعية، والمؤسسة العامة للمناطق الصناعية "مدائن".
وتتمثل هذه الاتفاقية كنتيجة لدراسة السوق المحلي والإقليمي والعالمي في قطاع الألمنيوم، حيث عمل فريق البرنامج على استخراج فرص استثمارية واعدة في قطاع الشق السفلي للألمنيوم لتعظيم الاستفادة من المواد الخام المنتجة محلياً بما يسهم في تحقيق نمو اقتصادي مستدام ودعماً لجهود سلطنة عُمان في تعزيز الصناعات التحويلية.
وبناءً على الاتفاقية سيتم ضخ استثمار بقيمة ٤.٥ مليون دولار أمريكي من شركة "ملتي بوند ميتال" لمعالجة نحو ٦ آلاف طن سنوياً من منتجات شركة "أوارك" مع تركيز كبير على أسواق التصدير.



The National Program for Private Sector and Foreign Trade Development participated in the signing ceremony of an investment agreement between Oman Aluminium Rolling Company “OARC” — a subsidiary of OQ Group — and “Multi Bond Metal” to support the expansion of an advanced production line for coating and manufacturing aluminium coils in Sohar. The agreement was signed in collaboration with Sohar Industrial City and the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates “Madayn.”
This agreement is the outcome of a comprehensive study of the local, regional, and global aluminium markets. The program’s team worked on identifying promising investment opportunities in the downstream aluminium sector to maximize the utilization of locally produced raw materials, thereby contributing to sustainable economic growth and supporting the Sultanate of Oman’s efforts to strengthen its manufacturing industries.
Under the agreement, Multi Bond Metal will invest USD 4.5 million to process approximately 6,000 tons annually of OARC’s products, with a strong focus on export markets.

استكمالاً للجهود المبذولة في تسهيل التجارة الخارجية وبالتعاون مع عدد من الجهات الحكومية، اختتم البرنامج الوطني لتنمية القطاع الخاص والتجارة الخارجية #نزدهر ورشة بعنوان "تنمية التجارة الخارجية".
حيث تأتي هذه الورشة ضمن سلسلة من اللقاءات والجلسات النقاشية التي عمل عليها فريق التجارة الخارجية بالبرنامج مع إشراك القطاعين العام والخاص لتسهيل التبادل التجاري مع الدول المختارة، حيث تم التركيز على الشؤون المالية والتموينية في التجارة الخارجية والمبادرات الوطنية المتعلقة بها.
واختتمت الورشة بحزمة من المبادرات الوطنية التي سيعمل عليها البرنامج مع أصحاب المصلحة خلال العام الجاري بهدف زيادة التبادل التجاري للقطاعات غير النفطية مع عدد من الدول.



As part of the ongoing efforts to facilitate foreign trade, and in collaboration with several government sectors, the National Program for Private Sector and Foreign Trade Development concluded a workshop titled “Foreign Trade Development.”
The workshop was part of a series of meetings and discussion sessions organized by the Foreign Trade Team at Nazdaher, with the engagement of both government and private sector stakeholders, aimed at facilitating trade exchange with selected countries. The discussions focused on financial and logistics related aspects of foreign trade, as well as relevant initiatives.
The workshop concluded with a set of national initiatives that the program will implement in coordination with stakeholders throughout the current year, with the objective of increasing non-oil sector trade exchange with selected countries.

Get to know the importance of the Discussion Panel: Food Sector Opportunities in the African Market with the stakeholders.

شارك الفاضل خالد بن سعيد الشعيبي رئيس البرنامج الوطني لتنمية القطاع الخاص والتجارة الخارجية #نزدهر كمتحدث رئيسي في منتدى صحار للاستثمار ٢٠٢٦م، وذلك بحضور دولي واسع من صنّاع القرار والمستثمرين وروّاد الأعمال من ٣٢ دولة.
استعرض رئيس البرنامج ورقة عمل بعنوان "الشراكات الاستراتيجية بين سلطنة عُمان والعالم"، حيث تطرّق إلى أهمية اتفاقيات التجارة الحرة في توسيع آفاق الاقتصاد العماني وذلك لتسهيل حركة السلع والخدمات وجذب الاستثمارات الأجنبية وفتح أسواق جديدة أمام المنتجات الوطنية.
وأشار إلى أهمية رفع تنافسية القطاع الخاص وتمكين المؤسسات الوطنية من النفاذ إلى سلاسل القيمة العالمية بما يُعزز موقع سلطنة عُمان كشريك تجاري موثوق على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي.



Mr. Khalid bin Said Al Suaibi, president of the National Program for Private Sector and Foreign Trade Development , participated as a keynote speaker at the Sohar Investment Forum 2026, held with broad international attendance from decision-makers, investors, and entrepreneurs representing 32 countries.
During the forum, he presented a briefing paper entitled “Strategic Partnerships between the Sultanate of Oman and the World,” in which he highlighted the importance of free trade agreements in expanding the Omani economy by facilitating the movement of goods and services, attracting foreign investment, and opening new markets for national products.
He also emphasized the importance of enhancing the competitiveness of the private sector and empowering national companies to integrate into global value chains, thereby strengthening the Sultanate of Oman’s position as a reliable trade partner at both the regional and international levels.

In cooperation with the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones, the National Program for Private Sector and Foreign Trade Development organized a discussion panel entitled “Food Sector Opportunities in the African Market,” targeting the industrial sector to achieve a set of objectives.

بالتعاون مع الهيئة العامة للمناطق الاقتصادية الخاصة والمناطق الحرة، أقام البرنامج الوطني لتنمية القطاع الخاص والتجارة الخارجية #نزدهر جلسة حوارية بعنوان فرص قطاع الغذاء في السوق الأفريقي وذلك في مقر الهيئة بهدف تمكين القطاع الخاص وتحفيز الاستثمار وتوسيع آفاق التعاون الدولي، حيث شارك في الجلسة مجموعة من أصحاب المصانع وروّاد الأعمال.
استعرض البرنامج نتائج الدراسة التي تم اعدادها لتحليل واردات السلع الغذائية في عدد من الدول الأفريقية المختارة، وتحديد السلع التي يمكن لسلطنة عُمان زيادة التبادل التجاري فيها سواء على صعيد الاستيراد أو التصدير.
كما تم تدشين كتيب فرص التجارة الخارجية للسوق الأفريقي لمشاركة نتائجها مع أصحاب المصلحة، حيث يأتي الكتيب نتيجة دراسة لتحديد عدد من الفرص الواعدة في السوق الأفريقي في مجالات التبادل التجاري من حيث الاستيراد والتصدير وإعادة التصدير والاستثمارات المتعلقة بها.
واختتمت الجلسة بمشاركة واسعة من أصحاب المصانع وروّاد الأعمال من خلال تبادل الأسئلة والرد عليها خلال الجلسة النقاشية.

#برنامج

In cooperation with Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones, the National Program for Private Sector and Foreign Trade Development “Nazdaher” organized a discussion panel titled “Food Sector Opportunities in the African Market” at the Authority’s headquarters. The session aimed to empower the private sector, encouraging investment, and expanding range of international cooperation. A number of factory owners and entrepreneurs participated in the discussion panel.
During the discussion, Nazdaher team presented the results of a study prepared to analyze food commodity imports in a number of selected African countries, and to identify goods in which Sultanate of Oman can increase trade exchange, whether in terms of imports or exports.
The Foreign Trade Opportunities Booklet launched during the discussion which shares the study’s results with relevant stakeholders. The booklet is the outcome of a study identifying several opportunities in the African market across areas of trade exchange, including import, export, re-export, and related investments.
The session concluded with participation from factory owners and entrepreneurs through questions and responses during the discussion panel.
