Collecting Fresh Produce Value Chain Data

Enumerators engaged by NARI to carry out the Urban Retailer aspect of the Fresh Produce Value Chain Survey conducted a trial, at the 9mile market, along the Lae Nadzab Highway.

In partnership with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and funding support from the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), NARI has completed Phase One of the Fresh Produce Value Chain Survey covering Producers and Traders or Small-Scale Wholesalers in the rural areas.

The Second Phase of this socio-economic research will be undertaken in the coming weeks.
