Seeking to bolster their School-Based Management (SBM) practices ,educators from Pacoc Elementary School and Buneg Primary School in Lacub District embarked on a benchmarking journey at SGES yesterday morning.
The collaborative effort between PACOC ES, BUNEG PS, and SGES underscores the spirit of camaraderie and mutual support within the educational landscape of Lacub District particularly the aforementioned schools. Through knowledge-sharing and collaboration, educators strive to uplift each other and raise the standard of education for the benefit of all learners.

The School-Based Management Surveillance Team, led by Ma'am Lorna Llaneza, SEPS-SMME of SDO Abra, and Ma'am Ailyn B. Taberdo, PSDS of LADALAGA District, conducted a thorough review of SBM documents of SGES today.
The team's visit aimed to ensure the up-to-datedness and completeness of SGES's SBM documents, essential for maintaining educational standards. Following their assessment, Ma'am Llaneza commended the school staff for maintaining SBM Level 3, recognizing their dedication to effective school management.
An outpouring of gratitude marked the conclusion of the final canvassing today for the popularity contest of the much-anticipated Search for Mr. and Ms. SGES 2024. The SGES staff took the opportunity to extend heartfelt thanks to the parents of the candidates and their generous benefactors for their invaluable support.

SGES Teachers Engage in Fourth SLAC Session on Learners with Special Needs Education
SGES teachers took part in the fourth session of SLAC on SNED last March 1. Led by Mrs. Zeny C. Claor, the session provided insights into addressing difficulties in basic learning and applying knowledge. Teachers gained understanding of learner characteristics, causes of learning difficulties, and strategies to support learners. The session emphasized the importance of creating an inclusive environment and adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learners' needs. Such initiatives, including SLAC, are integral to SGES's goal of providing quality education for all learners.

LADAGA Public Schools District Supervisor Provides Technical Assistance to San Gregorio Elementary School Teachers
On February 29, Mrs. Ailyn B. Taberdo, the District Supervisor of LADAGA Public Schools, visited San Gregorio Elementary School to provide technical assistance to the school's teachers. Accompanied by the school principal, Mr. Cayetano B. Barcena, Mrs. Taberdo conducted a session focused on improving teaching methodologies and maintaining high educational standards for the learners
During the visit, the focus was on providing technical assistance to the teachers, with particular attention to the English 6 class taught by Mrs. Meylyn A. Brub, Master Teacher I of the said school. Together, Mrs. Taberdo and Mr. Barcena observed Mrs. Brub's class, keenly evaluating her teaching methods and interaction with students.
Impressed by Mrs. Brub's exemplary demonstration teaching, Mrs. Taberdo and Mr. Barcena took the opportunity to extend their congratulations and appreciation for her commitment to excellence in education. SGES along with 17 others, participated in a public consultation today at UA gymnasium for the proposed infrastructure for safer and resilient schools project.
The event drew key stakeholders from different schools. Among those in attendance were Mr. Cayetano B. Barcena, the principal of San Gregorio Elementary School, Mrs. Meylyn A. Brub, teacher representative, pupil representative Kirsten Eleia Francine Pico, parent representative Myla Talingdan, and Kagawad Cecile Guzman, representing the Barangay Local Government Unit.
The consultation provided a platform for discussions on strategies and infrastructural developments geared towards enhancing the safety and resilience of educational facilities.
