ANNOUNCEMENT:
Please be advised that our joint venture partner, Watermight Ventures, Inc., has temporarily suspended water transmission to our Abuyog Water District plant due to high water turbidity caused by the ongoing rainfall.
While our water treatment plant currently has clean water in storage, we strongly encourage all consumers to secure enough water for your needs in preparation for a possible water interruption should the continuous rainfall persist, resulting in our supplier being unable to deliver water to the plant.

Dear Valued Consumers,
We truly understand how difficult and frustrating it is to experience low water pressure and limited supply. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you and your households.
Please know that this situation is not taken lightly. These challenges are mainly due to current system limitations, low pressure, and ongoing adjustments in our water distribution network; issues that we are actively working to improve every day.
What we are currently doing:
*Implementing a fair water schedule per barangay
*Continuously repairing leaks, flushing lines, and adjusting valves
*Prioritizing hospitals, schools, and densely populated areas
*Monitoring the system daily to respond to concerns as quickly as possible
Our Current Situation:
We also want to be open and honest with you.
Our District is currently facing financial constraints that affect our ability to operate at full capacity. These challenges include limited manpower, equipment, and maintenance resources. We also continue to meet our obligations with LWUA and our bulk water supplier (WVI), which further stretch our available funds.
Despite these difficulties, we remain committed to serving you. However, our current income is not yet enough to fully support the improvements we aim to deliver.
We have already reached out for help.
On September 9, 2025, our office attended a Sangguniang Bayan meeting to address concerns about water pressure and to request financial support for service improvements.
On February 3, 2026, we again attended the SB meeting, where it was requested that we first ensure full disclosure of our agreement with our bulk water supplier (WVI) for further review and discussion.
The Good News:
Amid these challenges, we are grateful to share some positive developments.
We have secured funding for three (3) major rehabilitation projects from DENR, with the support of Usec. Carlos Primitivo David. These projects aim to improve water pressure and provide a more reliable supply, especially for our affected coastal barangays.
Implementation will begin once final approvals are completed.
We will also be posting a water schedule soon to help you better anticipate when your barangay will have stronger water supply.
A Message from Us:
While we face limitations, please be assured that our team continues to work tirelessly, often beyond capacity, to serve every household as best as we can.
We humbly ask for your patience, understanding, and continued support during this time. Your cooperation means a lot to us as we work toward better and more reliable services for everyone.
For any concerns and further inquiries, you may message our official page, Abuyog Water District, or contact us at 0953-986-7126.
Thank you for your understanding and compassion.
