GAD DAY 2: STRONGER TOGETHER

The second day of the Gender and Development (GAD) Training transformed learning into action as the spotlight shifted to an exciting team-building activity that tested not only skills and strategies but also unity, creativity, and competitive spirit. The three groups rose to the challenge, showcasing their wit, resourcefulness, collaboration, and determination as they worked together to overcome challenges and achieve common goals.

Beyond the thrill of competition, the activities reinforced a powerful message: a stronger workplace begins with mutual respect, shared responsibility, and the ability to work as one despite differences.

The activity concluded with the awarding of Certificates of Participation to all participants in recognition of their active involvement and Certificates of Recognition to the resource speakers in appreciation of their valuable insights, expertise, and contributions to the success of the training.

Bringing the two-day training to a meaningful close, Dr. Imelda N. Raquel, Master Teacher III, delivered the closing remarks, emphasizing the importance of carrying the lessons and values gained from the activity beyond the training venue and into the workplace.

More than a day of games and friendly rivalry, GAD Day 2 marked a celebration of unity, inclusion, and shared commitment. It left participants with a powerful reminder that when respect guides our actions, differences strengthen our team, and collaboration drives our purpose, we move forward together toward a more inclusive, harmonious, and empowered workplace.

BOBOY, AGNO, Pangasinan — October 25, 2026 — Bangan-Oda National High School (BONHS) kicked off the first day of its Gender and Development (GAD) Training cm Team Building at Forterica Beach House in Boboy, Agno, Pangasinan, featuring discussions on gender equality, workplace respect, and gender-responsive governance, highlighted by an inspirational message from Public Schools District Supervisor Dr. Victor B. Naron Jr.

The training featured discussions led by resource speakers who tackled key GAD principles, legal mandates, gender-related concepts, and practical strategies for integrating gender responsiveness into school programs and workplace practices.

Mr. John Berny N. Navata opened the training proper with his session, “Balance, Respect and Equality: Strengthening GAD in the Workplace.” Municipal Councilor Atty. Micah Alvin S. Gimelo followed with an informative discussion on GAD mandates and related laws.

Other sessions deepened participants’ understanding of gender and development. Master Teacher III Dr. Lydenia C. Raquel discussed SOGIESC and its legal mandates, while Teacher VI Mrs. Joanna Marie M. Ramos presented gender analysis and concepts. Mr. Simplicio M. Tamayo Jr. tackled gender mainstreaming and gender issues, and Administrative Assistant II Ms. Abby Mae D. Prado discussed GAD planning and budgeting guidelines.

Through these sessions, BONHS reaffirmed its commitment to promoting an inclusive, respectful, and gender-responsive workplace, recognizing that gender equality is a shared responsibility that begins with awareness and is strengthened through informed action.

A Quick Visit, A Warm Welcome

Even a brief school visit can highlight what matters most in education: safe classrooms, good values, and learners’ well-being.

Newly appointed Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) of Agno, Dr. Victor B. Naron, Jr., paid a brief visit to Bangan-Oda National High School on the morning of October 16, 2026, before proceeding to Agno Central School for the official turnover ceremony, marking the transition from outgoing PSDS Dr. Rosie A. Caasi, who will be reassigned to Anda District.

Dr. Imelda N. Raquel, Master Teacher III and Officer-in-Charge, warmly welcomed Dr. Naron and accompanied him to the classroom of Mr. Allan O. Nuevo, Mathematics and MAPEH teacher, for a short classroom observation.

The observation focused on the integration of Good Manners and Right Conduct (GMRC) in instruction, classroom and school safety, and learners’ well-being. These areas underscore the role of schools not only in developing academic skills but also in promoting responsible behavior and maintaining a safe, supportive learning environment.

Although brief, Dr. Naron’s visit brought attention to priorities that remain central to quality education—values formation, learner protection, and holistic development.

Welcome to Agno District, Dr. Naron! Bangan-Oda National High School is honored to be your first school stop in the district and warmly welcomes you as you begin this new chapter of leadership and service.

The silence is broken. The tide has turned. And the VIBRATIONS of victory are louder!

After two years of hoping, praying, and persevering, "The VIBRATIONS" of Bangan-Oda National High School is back on the DSPC winners’ list!

Congratulations to TRISHA C. SAHAGUN for clinching SECOND PLACE in COLUMN WRITING – ENGLISH at the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2026, held on October 7–9 at Calasiao Comprehensive National High School.

This victory is more than a medal. It is proof that perseverance keeps dreams alive and that, in God's perfect time, hard work bears fruit. As you advance to the Regional Schools Press Conference in San Fernando City, La Union, carry the pride, love, and prayers of the entire BONHS family with you. Keep writing, keep believing, and keep shining!

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our school head, Dr. Ricardo R. Amadar, for his support and for leading the awarding ceremony after the flag-raising activity this morning, October 12; Dr. Winton P. Sagun, Education Program Supervisor in English, for his invaluable assistance; and our coaches, Mrs. Joie Navata-Nacional, Mrs. Richelle N. Balanza, and Mr. Simplicio M. Tamayo, for their guidance and commitment.

Special thanks to Bernice B. Nacario and Kathness Reine N. Corpuz for receiving the award on Trisha's behalf, and to our beloved teachers, learners, and everyone who prayed, believed, and stood with us. This victory belongs to all of you, too!
