DepEd SMART Agoncillo Sub-Office joins the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) and the Filipino nation in celebrating the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 under the 2023-2028 theme "WE for Gender Equalityand Inclusive Society".

This year’s sub-theme “𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙮𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙨, 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙨!” reaffirms that women’s leadership is a fundamental part of Filipino identity. Just like the Babaylans (spiritual leaders - primarily women) in pre-colonial Philippines, women today continue to play a vital role in shaping society.

The 2026 National Women’s Month Celebration further underscores that women’s full participation is essential to sustainable progress. The celebration demonstrates how Filipino women continue to advance inclusive governance, peacebuilding, and community development locally and across the ASEAN region, emphasizing values-driven, community-centered leadership that advances gender equality and collaborative progress.

SMART Agoncillo Sub-Office proudly hosted the continuation of the Division Athletic Association Meet (DAAM)

Yesterday, December 1, 2025, the energy and school spirit filled the Agoncillo Central School Gymnasium as delegations from various sub-offices arrived with their coaches, School Heads, and game officials for the opening program of the Batted Balls events—Baseball (Secondary) and Softball (Elementary & Secondary).

We were honored by the presence of ASDS Dr. Jofit P. Dayoc and Division PESS Coordinator Mr. Jimmy Morillo, whose support truly marked the significance of the event. Also joining us were Municipal Admin Dr. Noel Mendoza and Hon. Virgilio Cacao, representing Mayor Hon. Atty. Cinderella Valenton-Reyes and Vice Mayor Hon. Atty. Remjelljan Humarang, together with OIC-Chief of Police PMAJ John Glenn Sablan and several District Supervisors.

Led and guided by our PSDS, Dr. Maria Melissa Ariola and the Sub-Office PESS Coordinator, Miss Crispina Punzalan, with the support of the School Heads and NTPs, the program was carried out smoothly, orderly, and successfully.

The DAAM events will run from December 1–5, with softball games at Brgy. San Jacinto and baseball matches at the Pansipit Baseball Field. Delegates from other sub-offices are warmly accommodated in their billeting quarters at Pansipit Elementary School, Coral na Munti National High School, Pamiga Elementary School, and Pook Elementary School.

The Agoncillo Sub-Office received numerous awards during the 11th Division Mancom held yesterday, November 26, at NDN Resort, Talisay, Batangas.

The recognitions for achieving high results in the National Achievement Test (NAT) 2024–2025 brought honor and prestige to the Agoncillo Sub-Office, as all elementary schools in the district garnered high MPS across all subject areas. Because of this, SMART DepEd AGONCILLO SUB-OFFICE was hailed as TOP 1 – HIGHLY PROFICIENT LEVEL among the 34 Sub-Offices in the entire SDO Batangas Province for its outstanding performance. Mahabang Gulod ES placed Rank 3, Balangon ES placed Rank 5, and several schools achieved Highly Proficient Level in various subject areas.

Agoncillo College Inc. also excelled, being the only private school to attain Highly Proficient Level among its group.
