The Local Government Unit of RTR, spearheaded by the R. T. Romualdez Rural Health Unit and Family Planning Center, in partnership with DOH–Caraga and PBSP, successfully conducted a Chest X-ray Caravan in Barangays San Antonio and Basilisa on August 25, 2026, in celebration of Lung Month. 🫁💙

This initiative aims to promote lung health, encourage early detection of respiratory illnesses, and bring essential health services closer to the community.

Together, we continue to work towards a healthier community—because healthy lungs mean healthier lives! 💙

The Local Government Unit of RTR spearheaded by the R. T. Romualdez Rural Health Unit and Family Planning Center and in partnership with the Provincial Population Office, successfully conducted a Family Planning Caravan/Provision activity for Women of Reproductive Age on August 25, 2026, in celebration of Family Planning Month.

The activity was further strengthened by an HIV, Nutrition and Cervical Cancer Awareness and Screening, promoting informed choices, early prevention, and better reproductive health for every woman.

Together, we continue to empower women and promote accessible, quality, and comprehensive health services for our community. 💗

The R. T. Romualdez Rural Health Unit and Family Planning Center conducted PhilHealth YAKAP Registration, Updating and Enrollment for Senior Citizens and residents of Barangay Basilisa, Humilog and Tagbongabong on August 20, 2026 at Barangay Basilisa Covered Court.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our dedicated barangay health workers, barangay officials, volunteers and community members for their active participation, cooperation and continued support.

The R.T. Romualdez Rural Health Unit and Family Planning Center, in partnership with the Department of Health – Caraga, and with the full support of the Local Government Unit of R.T. Romualdez under the leadership of Hon. Richard P. Daquipil, successfully conducted a Competency Training for Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) in Purokalusugan Areas on August 12–13, 2026 at the MEEDMO Function Hall, R.T. Romualdez, Agusan del Norte.

💚 The training aimed to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and competencies of our dedicated BHWs, particularly in delivering quality and responsive health services to the community.

Our BHWs are the frontliners and partners of the Rural Health Unit, bringing essential health information, services, and support closer to every family in our barangays. Your commitment, compassion, and tireless service truly make a difference. 👏🩺

The R. T. Romualdez Rural Health Unit and Family Planning Center conducted our Semi-Annual Program Implementation Review—a valuable opportunity to assess our accomplishments, identify challenges, share best practices, and strengthen our strategies for the remaining half of the year.

The R. T. Romualdez Rural Health Unit and Family Planning Center informs all RTRnons that the service fees for selected Rural Health Unit services and referral laboratory services shall be implemented pursuant to:

*Municipal Ordinance No. 395-2024- An Ordinance Adopting the Revenue Code of the Municipality of Remedios T. Romualdez, Agusan del Norte

* Memorandum of Agreement ( MOA) between R. T. Romualdez Rural Health Unit and Family Planning Center and Cabadbaran Diagnostic Center as Referral facility for the provision of diagnostic and laboratory services under the PhilHealth Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP)

Through this partnership, eligible PhilHealth members registered in our YAKAP facility may access prescribed laboratory and diagnostic services through our accredited referral laboratory, ensuring timely, quality and coordinated healthcare services. The YAKAP Program strengthens primary care by providing consultations, essential laboratory services, appropriate referrals and other preventive health services for registered members.

Please see posted Updated Price List. These fees are implemented to support the continuous delivery of quality, accessible and sustainable healthcare services while ensuring compliance with Municipality's approved Revenue Code.

The Local Government Unit of Remedios T. Romualdez successfully convened the Second Quarter Joint Local Health Board and Municipal Nutrition Committee Meeting on June 11, 2026 at MEEDMO Hall, presided by the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Richard P. Daquipil.

The meeting highlighted updates, accomplishments, challenges and collaborative strategies to further strengthen local health and nutrition initiatives.
