The Local Government Unit of Jabonga successfully conducted the Jabonga Education and Scholarship Assistance Program (JESAP) Awarding Ceremony and Orientation Session on May 15 and 17, 2026, at the SB Session Hall.

The activity recognized outstanding scholars who excelled in the JESAP Qualifying Examination, honoring their hard work, determination, and academic excellence. Cash incentives were also awarded to the topnotchers in recognition of their remarkable achievements.

The event also served as an orientation for all JESAP scholars, providing essential information regarding scholarship guidelines, policies, requirements, and responsibilities as beneficiaries of the program.

Municipal officials encouraged the scholars to continue pursuing excellence and to use education as a powerful instrument for personal growth and community development. The orientation likewise emphasized the local government’s unwavering commitment to supporting deserving students through accessible and quality educational opportunities.

The program concluded with inspiring messages reminding all scholars to remain disciplined, responsible, and determined in achieving their dreams—not only for themselves and their families, but also for the continued progress of the Municipality of Jabonga.

𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
All passers are required to submit the following documents on or before May 5, 2026 (Tuesday) at the Municipal Tourism Office:

1. Fully accomplished Scholarship Application Form (to be completed during the orientation)
2. Valid Government-Issued ID or School ID
3. Barangay Residence Certificate (at least one (1) year residency)
4. For Incoming 1st Year College: Diploma or Report Card and for College Level: Certificate of Registration or any proof of enrollment.

The Local Government Unit of Jabonga successfully conducted the Qualifying Examination for the Jabonga Education and Scholarship Assistance Program (JESAP) on April 19–20, 2026, marking a significant step in the municipality’s continued commitment to expanding access to higher education.

The two-day examination gathered a large number of aspiring student-beneficiaries from different barangays who underwent a rigorous screening process designed to assess their academic readiness and potential. The conduct of the qualifying exam followed the official guidelines set by the LGU to ensure fairness, order, and transparency throughout the selection process.

The scholarship program, initiated under the leadership of Mayor Nap Montero, aims to provide financial assistance and educational opportunities to qualified college students in Jabonga, particularly those from deserving and underprivileged sectors.

Following the examination, the LGU is set to evaluate the results and release the official list of qualified scholars in the coming days. Applicants and stakeholders are advised to monitor updates through the official communication channels of the LGU of Jabonga.

The successful conduct of the qualifying examination reflects the strong participation of the community and highlights the growing interest of Habonganon youth in pursuing higher education through local government support.
