The opening of 𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐠𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 transformed familiar streets into a space of expression, movement, and shared celebration.

Through the Opening Parade and Hinugpong Street Dance Competition, participating contingents presented performances shaped not only by choreography and preparation but also by the stories and identities they carried into each step. Joined by various associations, the parade reflected the many ways a community can gather and be seen.

Beyond the performances, the opening served as a reflection of Culasi itself, a community whose strength continues to be found in participation, cultural expression, and the willingness of its people to create moments that bring everyone into a shared experience.

Just a little more than a week away, the excitement begins as Hinugpong Festival 2026 officially kicks off with a weeklong celebration from May 18 to 24, 2026, uniting our community through culture, talent, sports, and shared pride.

Anchored on the theme “Paghiliusa kag Tradisyon: Kabuhi sang Hinugpong Festival 2026,” this year’s celebration highlights the deep connection between unity and heritage. It reminds us that the strength of Culasi lies in its people coming together while honoring the traditions that shaped our identity. Through every performance, competition, and gathering, the festival becomes a living expression of our shared culture and collective spirit.

This May 18, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Culasi, Ajuy, Iloilo proudly opens the festivities with a full lineup of meaningful and exciting events. Witness the energy and creativity of our youth during the Hinugpong Mass Dance Competition at 4:00 PM at the Culasi Gymnasium. We will also celebrate excellence as we recognize the winners of Hinugpong Cup 2026 and honor individuals who continue to bring pride and inspiration to our community through Pasidungog 2026.

And the celebration does not stop there. As night falls, get ready for music, fun, and unforgettable memories as DJ Veecee and KFlores take the stage for an electrifying SK Night Celebration.

More than a festival, Hinugpong is a celebration of unity, culture, and the vibrant spirit of Culasi.
