The Consulate also advises Filipino travelers with upcoming flights entering or leaving the Kingdom to contact their respective airlines in anticiption of possible flight disruptions.

In response to the urgent needs of our distressed and repatriated Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), the Local Government Unit of Alamada, through the Public OFW Desk Office (PODO), continues to extend localized financial assistance to qualified beneficiaries.

This initiative aims to provide immediate relief and temporary support to OFWs who are facing difficulties while processing or awaiting assistance under the Balik Pinas! Balik Hanapbuhay (BPBH) Program of OWWA.

On November 3, 2025, another batch of OFWs received their financial assistance personally awarded by Committee Chairman on Labor and Employment and OFWs- Hon. Chantylee R. Calibara, along with other SB Members present.

Many of the recipients have faced challenging situations abroad—some experienced maltreatment, repatriation, or illness. This localized assistance serves as a bridge of hope, ensuring their immediate needs are addressed while waiting for formal aid from OWWA’s Balik Pinas, Balik Hanapbuhay Program and other reintegration services.

Through this continuous effort, the Local Government of Alamada, under the leadership of 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐍. 𝐒𝐚𝐜𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧, reaffirms its steadfast commitment to the welfare and reintegration of our modern-day heroes by providing timely and compassionate support. 💙

“Active Participation of Alamada OFW Associations in OWWA XII’s 2025 Regional Reintegration Caravan” 🎉

The 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐎𝐖𝐖𝐀 𝐗𝐈𝐈 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐧 was successfully held at the M𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝒄𝒆 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕, 𝑲𝒐𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒅𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒐𝒏 𝑺𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, and was graced by Ma'am 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐄. 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐨, 𝐎𝐈𝐂 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐖𝐖𝐀 𝐗𝐈𝐈.

The caravan aimed to inform and guide OFWs, whether returnees or beneficiaries, about the various opportunities and services available to them for livelihood, reintegration, and sustainable support as they rebuild their lives back home.

The event featured a 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫, which showcased the products of 𝑶𝑭𝑾 𝑭𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚 𝑪𝒊𝒓𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝑴𝑬𝒔 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝑶𝑪𝑪𝑺𝑲𝑺𝑨𝑹𝑮𝑬𝑵, and a 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫, which provided direct access to partner agencies and institutions such as 𝐃𝐓𝐈, 𝐃𝐀, 𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀, 𝐏𝐀𝐆-𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐆, 𝐒𝐒𝐒, 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡, 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤, 𝐁𝐃𝐎, 𝐒𝐌𝐄𝐬, and many more. The 𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐎𝐅𝐖 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 attended the event to show strong support for programs and initiatives dedicated to our modern-day heroes. 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 Assistance to Distressed OFWs of Alamada ✨

This support aims to provide immediate relief to OFWs who are currently facing challenges while processing and accessing the Balik Pinas! Balik Hanapbuhay (BPBH) Program of OWWA.

The following OFWs who have been given assistance last August 22, 2025 thru check personally awarded by Vice Mayor- Hon. Victor S. Sacdalan, Committee Chairman on Labor and Employment and OFWs- Hon Chantylee R. Calibara : (1) Michelle C. Almarel of Dado, Alamada, Cotabato (P8,000.00); (2) Elvie S. Palomo of Rangayen, Alamada, Cotabato (P8,000.00); and (3) Putra-Ain A. Sali of Mapurok, Alamada, Cotabato (P5,000.00).

Many of the beneficiaries under this initiative are OFWs who have endured difficult circumstances abroad—some suffered maltreatment in their workplaces, while others were hospitalized due to sickness. The assistance serves as temporary support, ensuring that their basic needs are met while awaiting the formal aid provided by OWWA thru the Balik-Pinas, Balik-Hanapbuhay Program and other relevant programs and services.

Through this effort, the local government through Mayor Jesus N. Sacdalan reaffirms its commitment to the welfare of OFWs by extending timely and compassionate help to those who need it most.

This milestone marks the completion of OWWA’s livelihood assistance to these associations, aimed at strengthening their projects: Motor Parts & Accessories and Agricultural Supply and empowering our former OFWs and their families to create sustainable income sources here in the Municipality of Alamada. These endeavors were made possible through the support of the Local Chief Executive Hon Jesus N. Sacdalan and the Sangguniang Bayan in partnership with OWWA 12. 🌱

A total of 𝟏,𝟎𝟗𝟑 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 (𝐎𝐅𝐖𝐬) and their families, along with partner agencies and Public OFW Desk Officers from different municipalities across the SOCCSKSARGEN Region, came together to commemorate the 𝟑𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐃𝐚𝐲 on 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟕 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐊𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲.

With the theme “𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞'𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲, 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢 𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲𝐚 𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚,” this year’s celebration underscored the significant role of OFWs as pillars of both the nation and their families.

𝐎𝐖𝐖𝐀 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐗𝐈𝐈 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐑. 𝐂𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬 delivered a heartfelt message during the event, expressing her appreciation and support for OFWs. She said:

During the celebration, a total of Php 465,000.00 in livelihood aid was granted to 50 individual beneficiaries under the Balik Pinas Balik Hanapbuhay (BPBH) Program and the Welfare Assistance Program (WAP). Additionally, Php 7.7 million worth of assistance was released to 18 OFW groups through the Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa Pag-unlad ng Samahang OFWs (Tulong PUSO) Program.

Among the recipients were two OFW organizations from the Municipality of Alamada:

These programs are designed to uplift OFWs and their families by enhancing their sources of income and promoting long-term economic sustainability as they reintegrate into their communities.

Migrant Workers’ Day is an annual observance that commemorates the enactment of 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝟖𝟎𝟒𝟐, 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐬 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟓—a law that upholds the rights and welfare of OFWs and honors their invaluable contributions to the nation and their families.

𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬: 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 from Barangiran, Alamada, Cotabato, were successfully assisted by the Public OFW Desk Office (PODO) of Alamada through the 𝑹𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑶𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒔 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒇𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝑨𝒅𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 (𝑶𝑾𝑾𝑨) 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑿𝑰𝑰, in coordination with the appropriate authorities.

𝐌𝐬. 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨, who worked as a 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐞𝐫, and 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨, employed as 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫, were both repatriated from 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐚 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, after being classified as distressed workers.

Following an urgent request from their family, the necessary steps were promptly taken to arrange their return.

Upon their arrival, the couple OFW visited our office today and shared their experience which explains why they have requested for repatriation and also thank our Local Officials and PODO for facilitating their request.

The Local Government Unit of Alamada sincerely thank OWWA Region XII for their prompt assistance and unwavering support.

𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐬 | An Overseas Filipino Worker from Alamada received assistance through the 𝑹𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎 of the 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐎𝐖𝐖𝐀) 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐗𝐈𝐈, in coordination with the concerned authorities.

𝐌𝐬. 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝐀𝐧𝐧 𝐌. 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐚, a resident of Barangay Camansi who worked as a nanny in Dubai, was repatriated on April 24, 2025. She was classified as a distressed worker in her country of employment.

Her family requested immediate repatriation, prompting this office through its PODO staff to prepare the referral form and to swiftly carry out the necessary actions to respond to the request.

Upon her return home, Ms. Calibara visited this office. The Local Government of Alamada extends its gratitude to OWWA Region XII for their prompt response and support.
