Alaminos City Launches Its First-Ever Local People’s Council 🎉

The City Government of Alaminos successfully established its very first Local People’s Council (LPC), facilitated by Dr. Solomon B. Tablang (City Cooperatives Development Officer / CSO Desk Officer), together with the Office of Vice Mayor Jose Antonio Miguel Y. Perez and CLGOO Victoria Jean Paras-Dawis.

Formed following a complete process of official endorsement, eligibility review, and validation, the Council was officially created today through a democratic sectoral election, where representatives from different sectors and communities chose their leaders.

Mayor Arth C. Celeste administered the oath of office and delivered an inspiring message, joined by Vice Mayor Jose Antonio Miguel Y. Perez, Councilor Kelvin Theus Humilde, Councilor Dahlia De Leon, and Councilor Verna Rabago, who all expressed full support for the new Council.

This achievement is another big step for Alaminos City toward stronger participatory governance – where every sector’s voice is heard and valued!

May 20, 2026 - Finally, three government agencies--the Cooperative Development Authority, Department of Agriculture, Department of the Interior and Local Government, have signed the long awaited Joint Memorandum Circular that would develop farmers and agriculture cooperatives across the country.

Inaanyayahan natin ang mga accredited at applied sector na makiisa at maging bahagi ng Orientation and Election of Local People’s Council na gaganapin sa May 22, 2026, ganap na 8:30 AM sa Don Leopoldo Sison Convention Center.

Ito ay pagkakataon upang mas mapalawak ang partisipasyon ng ating komunidad sa pamamahala at pagbuo ng mga programang tunay na makakatulong sa mamamayan. Sa pamamagitan ng People’s Council, mas nabibigyan ng pagkakataon ang iba’t-ibang sektor na makapagbahagi ng kanilang pananaw, mungkahi, at boses para sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng ating lungsod.
