Coral reefs support life beneath the sea by providing shelter, food, and safe breeding areas for many marine species, and we can help protect them through reduced pollution, proper waste management, and by avoiding activities that damage marine habitats. They play an important role in maintaining healthy and balanced ocean ecosystems, serving as a foundation for marine biodiversity. Coral reefs are also highly important to coastal communities, as many people depend on them for food and livelihood through fishing.
This World Reef Awareness Day, let us recognize their importance and strengthen our shared responsibility to protect and conserve them. By caring for coral reefs, we help sustain marine life, support community
