𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗟𝗬𝗗𝗖) 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗟𝗬𝗗𝗖 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘇𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗻 -- successfully convened for its 1st Council Meeting, bringing together youth-serving organizations and key partners to discuss priority programs and initiatives for the youth of the municipality.

In partnership with the 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴, the council presented and discussed key programs aimed at strengthening youth participation, leadership development, and community engagement.

The meeting served as a platform to align efforts, strengthen collaboration, and ensure that youth development initiatives remain responsive to the needs and aspirations of the young people of Alangalang.

The 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧 (𝙇𝙔𝘿𝙊) continues to provide technical assistance and secretariat support to the council to ensure effective coordination and implementation of youth programs under the Local Youth Development Plan (LYDP).

Together, we build a stronger and empowered youth sector for Alangalang.

LGU Alangalang, through the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), led the official delegation of the Local Government Unit, represented by the LYDO together with 14 selected SK Chairpersons, in attending the 1st National Mental Health Summit held at Asia Pacific Theological Seminary in Baguio City.

Speakers on the first day included representatives from the National Youth Commission (NYC) and pastors who are advocates of mental health.

We look forward to transforming these learnings into concrete and sustainable mental health programs for the youth of Alangalang.

The Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) took part in the PYAP Orientation on the Principles of Officers and the Guidelines on the Creation of the PYAP Federation and Planning.

During the activity, the LYDO emphasized its commitment to work closely with PYAP and the Sangguniang Kabataan in implementing programs for Out-of-School Youth (OSY) -- particularly initiatives focused on education reintegration, youth engagement, and inclusive youth development.

This collaboration highlights the LGU’s continued support for organized, empowered, and future-ready youth—ensuring that no young person is left behind and embodying the Mayor’s mantra that government should be felt by its people.

The 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗟𝗬𝗗𝗢) 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 convened a coordination meeting today (Sunday) with 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 (𝗦𝗞) 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗣𝗣𝗦𝗞 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘇𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗻 to provide technical guidance on the harmonization of SK plans, programs, and activities (PPAs) with the development priorities of the LGU Alangalang.

The meeting focused on strengthening youth governance through SK Reinforcement Trainings and advancing proposed 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗴𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵, 𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁-𝗼𝗳-𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 (𝗢𝗦𝗬𝘀).These initiatives aim to ensure responsive, inclusive, and sustainable youth development interventions across all barangays.

LYDO Alangalang remains committed to working closely with the SK to build unified, youth-centered programs that translate plans into meaningful action for the youth of Alangalang.

The 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 was invited to facilitate the Local Youth Development Planning (LYDP) of the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Palo, through the invitation sent by the said SK Federation to Mayor Lovely Yu-Castro.

The activity highlights inter-LGU collaboration and the shared commitment to strengthening youth governance and youth-centered development planning.

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴

The 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 initiated a benchmarking visit to the Provincial Youth, Education, and Sports Development Office (PYESDO) of Samar together with the LYDOs of Tunga and Pastrana. The activity provided valuable insights into effective youth governance, innovative programs, and inclusive service delivery that can be adapted to the local context of Alangalang.

Through this learning exchange, LYDO Alangalang gained practical knowledge on youth-centered programming, inter-agency collaboration, and community-based initiatives that will help further improve the planning and implementation of youth development programs in the municipality.

LYDO Alangalang remains committed to translating these learnings into responsive, sustainable, and impactful programs that empower the youth of Alangalang and support their active participation in local development.
