𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗦 𝗖𝗟 𝟬𝟴-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗶, 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻, 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀

On 13-14 May 2026, personnel of SFTm 1402 successfully conducted the Community Action for Resilience and Emergency Support (CARES) Training CL 08-2026 at the Covered Court of Brgy Mabini, Caramoran, Catanduanes.

The activity was attended by participants from different sectors of Brgy Mabini together with Mr. Warren P. Evangelista, representative of MDRRMO Caramoran, Mrs. Lorie L. Dayta, Head of the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), and the Barangay Officials and Staff headed by Hon. Rodelo G. Sapico, Brgy Chairman. The activity highlighted the importance of community preparedness, resiliency, and active participation in disaster response and emergency situations.

In line with the commitment to strengthen public awareness and youth engagement, SFTm 1402 also conducted an Information Drive on the West Philippine Sea (WPS) and lectures on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) to the members of the Kings Knight Volleyball Club (KKVC) headed by Mr. Brian Trial Traje. The lectures aimed to enhance awareness on national security concerns and equip the youth with basic life-saving knowledge and emergency response skills.

The 14th Special Forces Company extends its sincere gratitude to the different partner agencies and organizations for inviting and including our unit in the successful conduct of Operation Tuli held at Catanduanes Island Masonic Lodge No. 291.

We highly appreciate the collective efforts and support of the participating agencies, namely the Catanduanes Provincial Police Office, Municipal Government of Virac, Provincial Health Office Catanduanes, Tau Gamma Phi, and the Catanduanes Island Masonic Lodge No. 291 for spearheading this meaningful medical outreach activity for the community.

This collaborative initiative reflects the strong spirit of unity, volunteerism, and genuine public service among government agencies, civic organizations, and stakeholders in promoting the welfare of the people of Catanduanes. The 14th Special Forces Company remains committed in supporting community-centered programs that foster solidarity, health awareness, and humanitarian service.

Community Action for Resiliency and Emergency Support (CARES CL-07 2026) CATANDUANES

Personnel of SFTm 1402 successfully conducted the Community Action for Resilience and Emergency Support (CARES) Training CL 07-2026 in Brgy Tubli, Caramoran, Catanduanes.

The activity was conducted in partnership with Mrs. Lorie L. Dayta, Head of the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), together with the Barangay Officials and Staff of Brgy Tubli headed by Hon. Maria Efe V. Palero, Brgy Chairwoman.

The training aimed to strengthen community preparedness, disaster resiliency, and emergency response capabilities of the participants through lectures and practical activities. Through the collective efforts of the organizers, facilitators, and participants, the activity became a meaningful platform in promoting cooperation, volunteerism, and public safety within the community.

Community Action for Resiliency and Emergency Support (CARES CL-06 2026) CATANDUANES

In line with strengthening community preparedness and resilience, a successful Community Action for Resiliency and Emergency Support activity was conducted in Brgy. Sabangan, Caramoran.

This initiative was carried out in coordination with key stakeholders, including Mr. Warren P. Evangelista (MDRRMO Caramoran), Mrs. Lorie L. Dayta (Local Youth Development Office Head), and the dedicated Barangay Officials and Staff of Sabangan led by Hon. Jenny Rose P. España, Brgy. Councilor.

The activity highlighted the importance of collaboration between local government units, community leaders, and partner agencies in enhancing disaster readiness and emergency response capabilities at the grassroots level.

Youth preparedness is essential in building resilient communities because young people serve as both immediate responders and future leaders in times of crisis. When equipped with the right knowledge and skills, such as basic first aid, disaster awareness, and community coordination in which they can act quickly and effectively during emergencies, helping to reduce risks and save lives. Moreover, involving the youth in preparedness programs fosters a culture of responsibility, discipline, and proactive thinking, ensuring that resilience is sustained across generations. By empowering the youth today, communities strengthen their overall capacity to withstand and recover from disasters tomorrow.

The 14th Special Forces Company was invited by the fisherfolks of Brgy. Datag West to conduct an Information Awareness Campaign on the West Philippine Sea, aimed at educating the local fishing community on maritime security, territorial rights, and current developments affecting the area. The activity served as a platform to strengthen awareness among residents, particularly fisherfolk, regarding their role in safeguarding national interests and promoting vigilance within coastal communities.

The 14th Special Forces Company rendered a courtesy call to Glenda V. Aguilar, Municipal Mayor of Caramoran, together with Youth Development Office Designate Lorie L. Dayta, to discuss initiatives that promote public safety, emergency preparedness, and community development.

During the meeting, matters discussed focused on the skills and capabilities of Special Forces personnel, including Basic Life Support, radio communication, disaster response, and general emergency preparedness. These competencies aim to support local government efforts in enhancing disaster resilience and ensuring the safety and well-being of the community and especially the youth.

Through strong partnerships and coordination with local leaders and stakeholders, the 14th Special Forces Company continues to uphold its commitment to service, readiness, and nation-building working hand in hand to strengthen community awareness, preparedness, and response capabilities for the people of Catanduanes.
