LPMC Project Inspection | June 1, 2026
MLGOO Sheryl A. Pagadora joined the Albuera Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC) during its 2nd Quarter Project Inspection conducted on June 1, 2026. The activity aimed to assess the status, quality, and compliance of ongoing and completed infrastructure projects implemented within the municipality.
The monitoring team inspected a total of eight projects funded through the Municipal Government's 20% Development Fund and the Support to the Barangay Development Program (SBDP) of the national government. The inspection served as a mechanism to ensure that projects are implemented according to approved plans and specifications, while promoting transparency, accountability, and efficient utilization of public funds.
Through regular project monitoring, the LPMC helps ensure that government-funded initiatives effectively address community needs and contribute to the municipality's overall development goals. The activity likewise provided an opportunity for the committee to identify implementation concerns and recommend appropriate actions to facilitate the timely completion and sustainability of the projects.

🇵🇭 Monday Flag Ceremonies and Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off | June 1, 2026
Monday flag ceremonies were successfully conducted across the component barangays of the Municipality of Albuera, marking the official opening of the month of June. Barangay officials, functionaries, and residents gathered to reaffirm their commitment to public service, community development, and the continued implementation of programs and activities for the welfare of their constituents.
In Brgy. San Pedro, barangay officials and volunteers also participated in the Brigada Eskwela activities at San Pedro Elementary School. The initiative brought together members of the community in preparing the school facilities for the opening of classes, demonstrating the spirit of volunteerism, cooperation, and shared responsibility in ensuring a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for learners.
The simultaneous conduct of these activities highlights the dedication of the barangays in promoting good governance, community engagement, and support for the education sector as the municipality begins a new month of service and development.

Barangay Watch: DILG Albuera Strengthens Local Governance One Visit at a Time
Today, personnel from the Department of the Interior and Local Government Albuera Field Office visited selected barangays in the municipality to monitor and assist in various administrative and governance concerns. The team collected delayed submissions of KALINISAN barangay ordinances and barangay executive orders organizing the Barangay Inventory and Transition Team (BITT).
MLGOO Sheryl A. Pagadora and DILG Staff May M. Macavinta also checked barangay compliances with the Full Disclosure Policy, KALINISAN, the Hapag sa Barangay Project, the implementation status of barangay plans, and other administrative matters.
These weekly barangay rounds are set to be conducted regularly to further strengthen barangay operations and help ensure that government programs are effectively felt at the grassroots level.

📌 Strengthening Coordination and Performance Excellence
MLGOO Sheryl A. Pagadora participated in the online Provincial Team Conference held on May 26, 2026. The monthly conference served as a platform for discussing performance feedback, initial audit results, and various administrative concerns.
The activity also featured cluster meetings through breakout rooms, providing participants with an avenue for more in-depth discussions on program implementation, operational concerns, and performance improvement initiatives.

📍Strengthening Project Monitoring for Better Governance
On May 28, 2026, the Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC) of LGU Albuera participated in the online webinar entitled “Strengthening the Functionality of LPMCs in Region VIII.” The activity was organized by the DILG Regional Office VIII as part of its continuing capacity development initiatives for project monitors across the region.
During the webinar, DILG VIII introduced the LPMC Online System, a platform designed to streamline report submission and strengthen project monitoring processes. In addition, the Most Significant Change (MSC) Approach was presented as a participatory method in project monitoring and evaluation, highlighting the importance of capturing meaningful project outcomes and community impact.

Ang Migrant Advisory and Information Network (MAIN) Desks ay nagsisilbing frontline unit laban sa illegal recruitment at human trafficking sa mga komunidad.
Ilan sa mga responsibilidad nito ang mga sumusunod:
✅ pagdodokumento at paghawak ng mga kaso laban sa human traffickers at illegal recruiters
✅ pagsasagawa ng information campaigns sa mga paaralan at barangay
✅ pagtukoy at pag-report ng mga kahina-hinalang recruiter at job offers
✅ pakikipag-ugnayan sa PESO at social welfare offices para sa rehabilitasyon ng trafficking victims-survivors
Sa kasalukuyan, mahigit 600 LGUs na sa bansa ang may MAIN Desks. Patuloy na hinihikayat ng Department of the Interior and Local Government ang lahat ng LGUs na magtatag ng MAIN Desks alinsunod sa Republic Act No. 9208 o ang Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003.
Huwag magpaloko sa illegal recruiters.
Sama-sama nating labanan ang human trafficking at siguraduhing ligtas ang bawat Pilipino sa paghahanap ng trabaho dito man o abroad.

𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗴-𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶: Strengthening of Barangay-Based Institutions (BBIs) – Community Fire Auxiliary Group (CFAG)
Yesterday, the DILG Regional Office VIII conducted Episode 3 of the Pagrig-on Series featuring the Community Fire Auxiliary Group (CFAG). The activity was jointly facilitated with the Bureau of Fire Protection Region VIII.
Recognizing the vital role of CFAGs in safeguarding communities, the activity highlighted the importance of strengthening barangay-based fire response mechanisms and enhancing community preparedness during fire incidents.
Through the dedication and active participation of CFAG members, communities are empowered with quicker and more organized emergency response, helping protect lives and properties at the grassroots level.

Annual Children’s Assembly
Brgy. Balugo | May 25, 2026
MLGOO Sheryl A. Pagadora delivered a message of support during the Children’s Assembly held at Brgy. Balugo, Albuera, Leyte. She commended the barangay officials and employees for the successful conduct of the activity and emphasized the importance of child health and education.
MLGOO Pagadora also highlighted the need to identify concerns affecting child survival and development to ensure proper interventions. She encouraged the children to study well, stay healthy, and pursue their dreams to become productive members of society.

Meeting on the FY 2026 LGSF-FALGU Food Assistance Program | May 25, 2026
The Office of the Municipal Mayor, represented by Mr. Frederick M. Cuesta, convened concerned municipal departments for the implementation of the FY 2026 LGSF-FALGU Food Assistance Program.
During the meeting, MLGOO Sheryl A. Pagadora discussed the implementation guidelines under DBM-DILG Joint Circular No. 1, Series of 2026, and Local Budget Circular No. 169. The participating offices also coordinated strategies on project implementation, procurement, timelines, and monitoring to ensure the timely and transparent delivery of food assistance to indigent individuals and families in the municipality.
