This initiative aims to promote transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement by providing visitors the opportunity to learn more about the agencyโs mandates, programs, and services for consumers, entrepreneurs, and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

ALICIA, ISABELA โ In support to the governmentโs reintegration program for distressed Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 2 โ Isabela Provincial Office, through its 3rd District Negosyo Centers, in partnership with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Region 2, successfully conducted a Financial Awareness Seminar (FAS), Small Business Management Training (SBMT), and Entrepreneurial Development Training (EDT) on 08 April 2026.
The activity, held at the Municipal Community Center in Alicia, Isabela, benefited a total of 123 returning OFWs and their family members from various municipalities in the 3rd District of Isabela. The initiative aimed to equip participants with essential entrepreneurial knowledge and skills necessary to establish and sustain viable business enterprises as part of their reintegration into the local economy.
DMW R2 Director Atty. Rogelio T. Benitez, DPA, MNSA, CESE, delivered the opening message, emphasizing the importance of entrepreneurship as a sustainable pathway for OFW reintegration. This was followed by a message of support from LGU Representative Executive Assistant Analisa B. Lantican. The Office of the 3rd District of Isabela, under the leadership of Congressman Ian Paul L. Dy, also graced the activity through its representative, Ms. Elsie A. Umipig.
Junior Business Counselor (JBC) Vincent Von M. Revolledo of Negosyo Center (NC) Angadanan opened the training with a session on the fundamentals of starting and sustaining a business, including key operational processes. This was followed by JBC Minerva Niรฑa C. Madamba of NC Cabatuan, who conducted a session on Entrepreneurial Mindsetting, focusing on Personal Entrepreneurial Competencies (PECs), coupled with a self-assessment workshop.
In the afternoon session, JBC Jerald L. Dulce of NC Ramon delivered a lecture on Financial Literacy, highlighting sound financial management practices. JBC Angelica Bugauisan of NC Alicia then facilitated the Business Planning session, including a hands-on workshop on the preparation of the Business Model Canvas, which serves as part of the documentary requirements for program beneficiaries.
Through the conduct of these capacity-building activities, DTI R2 Isabela continues to reinforce its commitment to empowering returning OFWs by providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to successfully transition into entrepreneurship and contribute to local economic development.
