As the year comes to a close, the Sangguniang Bayan gathered to celebrate Christmas in a spirit of unity and gratitude. This special occasion served as a reminder of the values of service, compassion, and teamwork that guide us in serving our community. 🎄✨

The Municipality of Alimodian successfully concluded the Capacity Building Workshop for Newly-Elected Sangguniang Bayan Members — a key initiative aimed at strengthening the leadership and legislative capabilities of our newly elected officials.

Day 1 was graced by Ma’am Ma. Socorro Joy Garcia, LGOO VI/MLGOO of DILG Pavia, who shared foundational knowledge on local governance and public accountability. Day 2 featured Sir Raymundo D. Palanog, Cluster Head of Cluster I, DILG Iloilo Province, who emphasized the importance of effective legislation and teamwork in local development.

This meaningful workshop was initiated by Ma’am Giselle Grace G. Gerial, LGOO VI/MLGOO of DILG-Alimodian, whose dedication to capacity building continues to drive good governance in the municipality.

Empowered with new knowledge and a deeper understanding of their roles, our Sangguniang Bayan Members are now more prepared to lead, legislate, and serve the people of Alimodian with integrity and purpose.

Ang committee padayon nga gin sulong ang ordinansa paagi sa pag-integrar kang mga komento, suhesyon, kag mga klaripikasyon nga halin sa mga pumuluyo kag kaupod sa konseho. Ang Committee on Ordinances and Legal Matters ang nag-sponsor sang ini nga importante nga ordinansa kung sa diin gina pamunu-an ni Hon. Atty. Napholion C. Facunla kag mga miyembro sini nga sanday Hon. Marilyn A. Aquidado, Hon. John Darwin A. Almacen, Hon. Charles T. Buenavides kag Hon. Eden Faye A. Almenral. Ang aton Vice Mayor Hon. Geefre "Kalay" A. In a significant move toward sustainable growth and development, the Sangguniang Bayan has officially approved its 2025 Annual Municipal Budget on its third and final reading. The approval marks a key milestone in the town’s ongoing efforts to enhance public services, improve infrastructure, and support various community programs.

It reflects the collective commitment to address the needs of the people and ensuring the municipality’s continued progress. Key areas of focus in the 2025 approved budget highlights the 20% Local Development Fund, 5% Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Fund, and allocations for the personnel services. All priority projects aimed at fostering a higher quality of life for Alimodian residents in arwas of healthcare, education, infrastructure development, and social services.

The Municipality of Alimodian is currently being recognized with the prestigious Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) award during an ongoing ceremony today. The ongoing event includes a formal ceremony where DILG representatives are presenting the award to the municipal officials of this municipality.🥰

✅RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE OFFICE OF THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNOR, HONORABLE ARTHUR R. DEFENSOR, JR. TO CONDUCT AN INSPECTION AND UNDERTAKE URGENT REPAIR OF THE SLOPING ABUTMENT OF THE AUGUSTO G. SYJUCO SR. BRIDGE LOCATED AT NICHOL STREET, BARANGAY POBLACION, THIS MUNICIPALITY
✅RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE LOCAL CHIEF EXECUTIVE, HONORABLE IAN KENNETH A. ALFECHE ON THE BEHALF OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ALIMODIAN TO SIGN AND ENTER A DATA PROCESSING AND NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE RO-VI FOR THE UPDATING OF REGISTRY SYSTEM FOR BASIC SECTORS IN AGRICULTURE (RSBSA)
✅RESOLUTION REQUESTING FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE OFFICE OF THE HONORABLE ARTHUR R. DEFENSOR, JR. GOVERNOR PROVINCE OF ILOILO FOR “PASANAG SA PLAZA” SOCIO-CULTURAL ACTIVITY ON DECEMBER 1-31, 2024 IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS (P 300,00) FOR THE MUNICIPALITY OF ALIMODIAN, PROVINCE OF ILOILO
✅RESOLUTION STRONGLY SUPPORTING THE ESTABLISHMENT/CONVERSION OF DAO PRIMARY SCHOOL INTO A DAO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, MUNICIPALITY OF ALIMODIAN, PROVINCE OF ILOILO.

The Sanggunaing Bayan through the Committee on Finance, Budget, and Appropriations conducted a budget hearing to discuss the proposed 2025 Annual Municipal Budget as proposed by the Executive Department. The discussion was presided by the Committee Chairperson Hon. Napholion C. Facunla. The committee members and SB members are also in attendance along with the various department heads of the Executive Department.
This Sanggunian also recognized the presence and meaningful insights of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Ian Kenneth Alfeche, on the priority projects of the administration.
The committee also commended various departments where the proposed budget allocations have been fully utilized and projects have been successfully implemented.
In conclusion, the committee shall sponsor the passage of the 2025 Annual Municipal Budget for the second reading on the next regular session.
