Please be informed that Geotechnics Philippines, Inc. will conduct Geotechnical Investigation Works in connection with the proposed Samar Pacific Coast Road II Bridge Project within the vicinity of Talisay-Laoang and Calomotan-Pangpang Navigational Channel from 25 May 2026 to 25 August 2026.
This Activity pertains to the Detailed Engineering Design of the construction bridge connecting Talisay-Laoang and Calomotan-Pangpang SAMPLING BOREHOLE OFFSHORE WORK AREA.

Jubasan successfully conducted a coastal clean-up drive in connection with the iCare Program of CGS Northern Samar at Brgy. Jubasan, Northern Samar.
The activity was carried out with the support of Barangay Officials and the active participation of local residents of Brgy. Jubasan, Allen, Northern Samar

๐๐ง ๐๐ก๐จ๐ญ๐จ๐ฌ: Coast Guard Sub-Station Capul personnel conducted a coastal clean-up drive in observance of Earth Month along the coastal area, particularly at the bridge boundary between Brgy. 4 and Brgy. 5, Poblacion, Capul, Northern Samar.
The target area for this activity was the bridge between Brgy. 4 and Brgy. 5, where a significant accumulation of garbage has been observed beneath the structure.
The activity was conducted in coordination with the Barangay Officials, MPS Capul, and BFP Capul, with active participation from local residents of the said barangays.
This initiative forms part of the Philippine Coast Guardโs iCare Program, which aims to promote environmental protection, coastal preservation, and community awareness on proper waste management.

๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐: Coast Guard Station Northern Samar, together with its Sub-Stations and OPCON Units, successfully conducted the Annual Planning, Performance Review, and Organizational Assessment (APPROA) 2026 on 06 March 2026 at Casa Miguel, Catarman, Northern Samar.
The activity commenced with the arrival of the team, followed by an opening program which set the tone for a comprehensive evaluation of the stationโs performance. The Station and Sub-Stations presented their Accomplishment Report for CY 2025, highlighting key achievements in operations, maritime safety and security, law enforcement, and iCARE Program related activities.
A Performance Review was conducted to assess targets versus accomplishments, evaluate performance indicators, and identify strengths as well as areas for improvement. This was followed by an Organizational Assessment focusing on personnel complement, administrative management, logistics, training status, and resource utilization.
The activity also served as a platform to address issues and concerns raised by Sub-Station Commanders within their respective Areas of Responsibility (AOR), and to discuss plans and operational priorities. Emphasis was likewise given on maintaining high standards of morale and discipline among personnel to ensure professionalism, unity, and commitment within the unit.
In his closing message, ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐, Station Commander, CGS Northern Samar, expressed his sincere appreciation to all CGS Northern Samar personnel for their dedication, teamwork, and unwavering commitment in carrying out their mandated responsibilities.
CGS Northern Samar and its Sub-Stations reaffirm their commitment to remain mission-ready and to continuously deliver efficient and responsive maritime services in support of maritime safety, security, and marine environmental protection.

In reference to the published Gale Warning No. 08 issued by Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) at 05:00 P.M. of 15 March 2026, this Station is ๐๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฒ๐๐ ๐๐ฌ of all vessels/watercraft of 250 GT and below plying within Northern and Eastern coasts of Northern Samar (Mondragon, San Roque, Pambujan, Laoang, Palapag, Mapanas, Gamay, Lapinig) due to โ๐๐ฉ๐ง๐ค๐ฃ๐ ๐ฉ๐ค ๐๐๐ก๐-๐๐ค๐ง๐๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ฃ๐๐จ ๐๐จ๐จ๐ค๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ฉ๐ ๐ฃ๐ค๐ง๐ฉ๐๐๐๐จ๐ฉ ๐ข๐ค๐ฃ๐จ๐ค๐ค๐ฃโ and the possible effect of the inclement weather in accordance to the Department Memorandum Circular No. 03-01 (Guidelines on Movement of Motorboats/Vessels in the absence of Weather Bulletin in the Locality) and as a proactive measure of this station in order to avert maritime incident in the area.
Further, all vessels are reminded to take precautionary measures and be extra vigilant in monitoring the movement of gale-force winds if deemed to be affected by said weather disturbance. The voyage of vessel will resume until further notice and upon improvement of weather and sea condition.
