UNDAS 2026 | FIRE ASSISTANCE SERVICE TEAM AND FIRE SAFETY AWARENESS

Almeria, Biliran | November 02, 2026 – In connection with the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, personnel of the Almeria Fire Station, under the leadership of SFO2 Lolito Cesar C Nueve, OIC, Municipal Fire Marshal, established a Fire Assistance Service Team in coordination with the Almeria Municipal Police Station (PNP), Almeria Emergency Response Team (ALERT), and Rural Health Unit (RHU) to ensure public safety and provide immediate assistance to cemetery visitors.

As part of its commitment to public service, the team conducted on-site standby operations at public cemeteries, provided free blood pressure (BP) monitoring services, and extended assistance to elderly individuals and other persons needing help, particularly in safely crossing roads and navigating crowded areas.

Furthermore, personnel distributed Fire Safety Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials and shared practical fire prevention tips to raise public awareness and encourage responsible practices throughout the observance. These initiatives aimed not only to strengthen emergency preparedness but also to promote a safe, orderly, and peaceful commemoration for everyone.

Through inter-agency cooperation and community-centered service, Almeria Fire Station remains steadfast in protecting lives, preventing emergencies, and extending meaningful assistance to the public.

REKORIDA AND FIRE SAFETY INFORMATION DISSEMINATION

Brgy. Poblacion, Almeria, Biliran | October 31, 2026 — In response to the fire incident that occurred last night, Personnel of the Almeria Fire Station, under the leadership of SFO2 Lolito Cesar C Nueve, OIC, Municipal Fire Marshal, conducted a rekorida within Barangay Poblacion, Almeria, Biliran, to raise public awareness and reinforce fire safety measures among residents.

During the activity, an audio recording containing fire safety tips and reminders was played through the fire station’s vehicle sound system to disseminate essential information on fire prevention and safety precautions. The information campaign emphasized the importance of checking electrical connections, avoiding overloading of electrical outlets, keeping flammable materials away from ignition sources, and ensuring that cooking appliances are properly turned off after use.

Furthermore, fire safety leaflets were distributed to residents to provide additional information and guidance on fire prevention, proper emergency response, and the necessary precautions to take in case of a fire incident.

The activity aimed to increase community awareness, encourage vigilance, and promote proactive participation in preventing fire incidents. BARANGAY ASSEMBLY | FIRE SAFETY AWARENESS 🚒🔥

Personnel of the Almeria Fire Station, under the leadership of SFO2 Lolito Cesar C Nueve, Officer-in-Charge, Municipal Fire Marshal, attended the 2nd Semester Barangay Assembly held in Barangays Tabunan and Poblacion, Almeria, Biliran.

Anchored on the theme, “Tayo na sa Barangay Assembly! Nagkakaisang Tinig, Makabuluhang Usapan, at Sama-samang Pagkilos para sa Ating Komunidad,” the activity served as an opportunity to strengthen community awareness, participation, and cooperation in promoting public safety.

During the assembly, Almeria Fire Station personnel discussed the primary functions and responsibilities of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), emphasizing the importance of fire prevention, fire safety awareness, and practical measures to minimize fire risks within the community. BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) TRAINING FOR GRADE 9 STUDENTS, TEACHERS, AND THE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL OF ALMERIA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

Almeria, Biliran | October 30, 2026 —
In its continuing commitment to promote community safety and strengthen emergency preparedness, Personnel of the Almeria Fire Station, under the leadership of SFO2 Lolito Cesar C Nueve, OIC, Municipal Fire Marshal, conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) awareness and training activity for the Grade 9 students, teachers, and the School Principal of Almeria National High School. The activity was held at the Municipal Building Annex Hall, Almeria, Biliran.

The activity aimed to equip both students and school personnel with essential knowledge and practical skills in responding to medical emergencies, particularly in situations where immediate assistance can make a difference in saving lives. During the session, participants were introduced to the importance of Basic Life Support, recognizing emergency situations, assessing the condition of a victim, and providing immediate assistance while waiting for professional medical responders.

The participants were also given discussions and demonstrations on essential life-saving techniques, including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and appropriate initial responses to emergencies. Through these demonstrations and practical learning opportunities, the students and teachers gained a better understanding of how to respond promptly, properly, and confidently when faced with life-threatening situations.

The active participation of the Grade 9 students, teachers, and the School Principal highlighted the importance of building a school community that is knowledgeable, prepared, and capable of responding to emergencies. The activity also reinforced the value of cooperation and shared responsibility in ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone within the school community.

Through this initiative, Almeria Fire Station continues to advocate for a culture of preparedness and a lifesaving mindset among the youth and educators.
