Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 2019-009 dated 15 May 2019 on the Guidelines on the Emergency Alert System, and Memorandum Circular No. 2017-012 dated 12 December 2017 on Oplan Paalala–Iwas Paputok, the Bureau of Fire Protection has officially activated Oplan Paalala–Iwas Paputok nationwide effective 01 December 2025.

All BFP units are hereby directed to intensify fire safety enforcement, public information campaigns, and preparedness measures to prevent firecracker- and fireworks-related incidents, ensuring the safety of communities throughout the holiday season.
