Honoring milestones, memories, and years of perseverance, the College of Computing and Information Sciences Local Student Government (CCISLSG) successfully conducted the Tribute to Graduates 2026 at the H.E.R.O. Learning Commons Activity Loft, May 16.
The evening celebration formally commenced with the Entrance of Colors to the inspiring message from CCIS Dean Jaymer Jayoma, who reminded the graduating students to cherish the people and experiences that shaped their academic journey. He emphasized that beyond becoming learners of technology and innovation, the graduates also grew into researchers, innovators, and individuals prepared to face the realities beyond the university.
Moments later, the candidates for graduation proudly walked alongside their parents during the Ring Hopping Ceremony โ a heartfelt highlight of the evening that reflected the sacrifices, unwavering support, and shared triumphs of both students and families throughout the years.
The college also recognized outstanding graduating students through the Academic, Non-Academic, and Special Awards, celebrating individuals who exemplified excellence both inside and beyond the university.
Adding inspiration to the celebration, CSU Vice President for Academic Affairs Vicente A. Pitogo delivered heartfelt Words of Inspiration, acknowledging the struggles, setbacks, and challenges that students endured throughout their academic lives. His message served as a reminder that success is not measured by the absence of hardships, but by the courage and determination to continue moving forward despite them.
The evening became even more memorable as graduates shared a meaningful toast led by the CCISLSG Governor Lesley Rose Flores, and revisited memories through special presentations before concluding the celebration with a vibrant social night together with their fellow students, faculty members, and guests.
Indeed, Tribute to Graduates 2026 stood as more than just a farewell celebration โ it became a testament to resilience, excellence, friendship, and the journey of students who are now ready to take their next steps as future professionals, innovators, and changemakers of society.
