Today, the Rural Health Unit of Angadanan successfully conducted the Purokalusugan activity at Barangay Calaccab, bringing essential health services and health education closer to the community.

In line with the celebration of Road Safety Awareness Month, an informative lecture on different road safety precautions was also conducted and emphasized during the activity. The discussion was facilitated by Mr. Rogene Reyes,NDP, who shared important reminders and practical safety measures to help prevent road accidents and promote responsible behavior on the road.

This successful activity became possible through the excellent organization and planning of Municipal Health Officer Dr. Princess Penetrante. Despite attending training, she ensured that everything was well-prepared and properly coordinated for the smooth implementation of the activity.

The success of the program was truly a result of teamwork and cooperation among the RHU Staff, HRH, Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Officials, and the active participation and support of the residents of Barangay Calaccab.

Successful PuroKalusugan Activity at Barangay Salay, Angadanan, Isabela

A successful PuroKalusugan activity was held last April 28, 2026 at Barangay Salay, Angadanan, Isabela, bringing essential health services closer to the community. The activity was successfully headed by Dr. Princess Faith Penetrante, with the full support and leadership of the Rural Health Unit team.

We would like also to sincerely acknowledge the unwavering effort, dedication, and teamwork of our RHU Staff, DTTB Aizel Sacatrapuz , and HRH, whose hard work and commitment made this outreach activity possible. Their passion to serve continues to bring quality healthcare closer to every barangay.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) AND STANDARD FIRST AID (SFA) TRAINING SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED!

Strengthening the skills and readiness of our frontline workers, a successful Basic Life Support (BLS) and Standard First Aid (SFA) Training was conducted for the RHU staff, AICH staff, and MDRRMO personnel.

The activity served as a renewal training for existing staff and a new certification training for newly hired personnel, ensuring that everyone is equipped with the proper knowledge and skills in responding to emergencies and saving lives.

The training was facilitated by trainers from different municipalities under the leadership of Jay-ar P. Benitez, RN, Provincial DRMMH Manager.

Orientation on Philhealth YAKAP & 2nd Quarter Meeting of BNSs and BHWs of Angadanan

On April 21, 2026, PhilHealth LHIO Cauayan City, in partnership with Rural Health Unit of Angadanan headed by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Princess Faith P. Penetrante, successfully conducted a Refresher Training for Project HealthLink featuring orientations on PhilHealth YAKAP and GAMOT, together with the 2nd Quarter Meeting of Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) and Barangay Health Workers (BHW) of Angadanan.

The activity was attended by the Barangay Health Workers and Barangay Nutrition Scholars from the 59 barangays of the municipality who continue to serve as valuable partners in delivering health services to the community.

This initiative aims to further strengthen and expand the implementation of the YAKAP Program at the barangay level by equipping frontline health workers with updated knowledge and clear guidance in providing accessible and efficient primary health care services.

Also highlighted during the event was the distribution of infant weighing scales to support the continuous monitoring of infant health and nutrition in every barangay.
