Last Wednesday, the Library Science Society brought the love of reading to the Kanlungan ng Kabataan Reformation Center.

It was an inspiring day dedicated to our beneficiaries: the resilient rescued street children and youth who call the center home. Through storytelling, teaching sessions, and a shared feeding activity, we aimed to prove that literacy is a bridge to a brighter path forward. Making knowledge shouldn't just stay in the library; it belongs in the heart of the community✨!

We extend our sincere appreciation to our sponsor, Mayor Carmelo "Jon" Lazatin II , for his support of youth development and community welfare.

A special thanks also goes to our dedicated volunteers and the organizers of this outreach program. Your hard work and passion made this mission possible!

As part of our Day 2 festivities, we were honored to have Ms. Jasmine Angelica Marie Canlas and Dr. Maria Nimfa Dabu lead the morning session as our esteemed guest speakers. They shared their knowledge, expertise, and valuable insights on their respective topics, enriching the participants’ understanding and encouraging meaningful discussions.

A special highlight of the morning was the inspirational talk by Mr. Beejay Sebastian, whose message motivated everyone to embrace learning, pursue their passions, and continue advocating for literacy.

The meaningful contributions of our speakers truly made Day 2 more engaging, educational, and memorable.
