Angeles City — July 4, 2025 — In its sustained campaign against illegal drugs, the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) continues to make significant strides following the successful conduct of back-to-back anti-illegal drugs operations that led to the arrest of three individuals and the confiscation of suspected shabu valued at over ₱17,000.

At around 6:30 PM on July 3, 2025, personnel of Police Station 5 conducted a buy-bust operation along Sulayman Street, Barangay Cutcut, Angeles City, resulting in the arrest of alias “Mawing”, a resident of Barangay Sta. Trinidad, Angeles City. Seized from the suspect’s possession were two (2) small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 2 grams, with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱13,600.00.

Later that evening, at approximately 11:00 PM, members of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) of Barangay Pampang spotted a suspicious exchange between two men during a routine patrol along Mabuhay Street, Purok 3, Barangay Pampang. The operatives witnessed one individual handing over what appeared to be a heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu to another man aboard a motorcycle. The quick response of BPAT members led to the apprehension of alias “Jeff” and alias “Bong”, both residents of Barangay Sto. Domingo, Angeles City. The rest of the group immediately fled the area.

Recovered from the suspects was a sachet of suspected shabu weighing around 0.5 grams, with an estimated value of ₱3,400.00. The BPAT promptly coordinated with Police Station 2, who responded and took custody of the suspects and confiscated evidence.

ACPO City Director PCOL JOSELITO E VILLAROSA JR lauded the efforts of both the Angeles City Police personnel and the vigilant Barangay Peacekeeping forces.

“These operations reflect our continued commitment to cleanse our communities of illegal drugs.
