ANGELES CITY โ Angeles City recorded one of the most significant improvements among Philippine cities in the latest Oxford Economics Global Cities Index, climbing 100 places to rank 388th out of 1,000 cities worldwide in the 2026 edition.
The city moved up from No. 488 in 2025, marking a substantial improvement in its global standing in just one year.
The latest ranking also placed Angeles City at No. 2 among the nine Philippine cities included in the index, up from third place in the previous edition and behind only Manila.
For 2026, the Philippine cities included in the ranking were led by Manila at No. 174, Angeles City at No. 388, Davao City at No. 470, and Cebu City at No. 474.
The Oxford Economics Global Cities Index assesses 1,000 cities around the world based on five major dimensions of urban performance: Economics, Human Capital, Quality of Life, Environment, and Governance.
Angeles City posted an overall score of 47.0 in the 2026 index.
