Last stop for today, October 3, was joining fellow basketball enthusiasts in watching the Primero Distrito Champions League Finals between our cityโ€™s representative, Brgy. Pampang, Angeles City, and Brgy. San Francisco of Mabalacat City. I was joined by my Chief of Staff, Chino Tiotuico, as we cheered for the players and enjoyed an exciting championship game.

Thank you to Mr. Raymond Dizon, the league organizer, and to my nephew, Wrabin Rivera, League Director and Commissioner, for organizing this event and giving our young athletes the opportunity to showcase their talent, teamwork, and passion for basketball. My appreciation also goes to Systems Plus College Foundation, especially EVP Happie Bustamante, for providing the venue and supporting the league.

Congratulations to all the players, coaches, organizers, and supporters, and thank you for the invitation. May we continue to support programs that give our Angeleรฑo youth opportunities to grow and excel through sports.

On October 2, the Lawyer of the Day Initiative (LODI) Desk at the Office of the Vice Mayor, in partnership with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)โ€“Pampanga Chapter, continued its efforts to provide free basic legal consultations and guidance to Angeleรฑos seeking legal assistance.

The LODI Desk is open every Friday, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at the Office of the Vice Mayor, Legislative Building, Angeles City Hall Grounds. We extend our sincere appreciation to our volunteer lawyers, Atty. Joanne Vitug-Evangelista, Atty. Chin Chih Lin, and Atty. Mae Ann Michele Villagomez, for generously sharing their time, knowledge, and expertise to help make legal assistance more accessible to the people of Angeles City.
