The AUF University Library proudly joins the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜/𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 (𝐏𝐀𝐀𝐑𝐋) 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, held on 15–17 April 2026 at Best Western Plus The Ivywall Hotel in Puerto Princesa City.

Our Library Director, Dr. Jonavie S. Quiambao served as one of the speakers at the PAARL National Summer Conference 2026. Dr, Quiambao presented on the topic “𝑨𝒄𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝑨𝒄𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒄 𝑳𝒊𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔,” highlighting key insights and best practices in the field.

Also present at the conference is Reyma Tongol, Acquisition Librarian, showing the AUF University Library’s continued commitment to professional engagement and development.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: Dr. Jonavie S. Quiambao has officially sworn in as 𝑽𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒔 - 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑳𝒊𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰𝒏𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔 (𝑵𝑪𝑨𝑨-𝑵𝑪𝑳𝑰𝑺) for the 2026–2028 term.

The oath was formally administered on April 20, 2026, at the Metropolitan Theater by Dr. Eric B. Zerrudo, alongside fellow members of the NCLIS Executive Committee.

This achievement reflects a continued commitment to advancing libraries, information services, and cultural leaders.

On this day, fifty-five years have passed since the Angeles University Foundation was formally granted its University Charter.

The conferral of university status in 1971 marked the beginning of a bold academic journey—one that continues to advance quality education, elevate standards, and nurture generations of Angeleneans committed to meaningful impact.
