Last grading na! Kumusta ang mga grado natin nitong nagdaang quarter? May mga tumaas ba? Eh bumaba?
Kung LF (looking for) motivation kayo para gawin ang best niyo sa susunod, ito na ‘yun!
Ipinapakilala ko sa inyo si YVES SIMON P***N, isa sa mga Natatanging Mag-aaral Awardee (recipient of scholarship grant worth P220,000) mula sa Dalig Elementary School.
Pangatlo (3rd) si Simon sa apat (4) na magkakapatid. Tinataguyod sila ng kanilang ama na delivery boy at ng kanilang ina na umeextra naman sa paglalabada.
Parehas mang nagsusumikap ang kanyang mga magulang para tugunan ang kanilang pang-araw araw na pangangailangan, sadyang hindi ito sumasapat sa kanilang pamilya.
Saksi si Simon sa mga pagkakataong ito… kung kaya’t sa murang edad ay namulat na sa kanyang isipan na gumawa ng paraan para makatulong sa kanyang ama’t ina.
Pagpipintura, pagtatanim, paghahakot ng lupa, at kung minsan ay pagiging parking attendant… sa murang gulang ay naranasan na lahat ‘yan ni Simon, kumita lang ng perang maipambabaon niya sa eskwela at maipantulong sa kanilang pamilya.
Hindi alintana ang pagod at kamusmusan ng kanyang katawan sa uri ng trabaho na kanyang pinagpapagalan, maipagpatuloy lang ang edukasyon at pangarap na maging isang g**o balang araw.
Hindi lang mahusay si Simon sa diskarte. Mahusay rin siya sa eskwela. Patunay riyan ang iba’t-ibang parangal na iniuuwi niya matapos magwagi sa mga patimpalak at pagiging achiever sa kanilang klase.
Sa halip na panghinaan ng loob dahil sa iba't-ibang obligasyong nakaatang sa kaniya, ginawa niyang inspirasyon ang mga ito sa ngalan ng masidhing pagnanais na makapagtapos ng pag-aaral at mahandugan ng magandang buhay ang kaniyang mga mahal sa buhay.
'Di matatawaran ang tiyaga at pagsisikap ni Simon, kaya siya po ang napili ng Dalig ES SPTA na tumanggap ng Natatanging Mag-aaral award, at ng scholarship grant na may sumatutal na 220,000 pesos... 60,000 pesos hanggang senior high school (10,000 pesos kada taon) at 160,000 pesos naman sa apat na taon ng kolehiyo o 40,000 pesos kada taon (depende kung ilang semestre ang kanyang mapipiling kurso at paaralan).
Patunay ang kwento mo, Simon, na hindi kailanman hadlang ang kahirapan para mangarap at magsikap. Sa murang edad, pinili mong tumulong, magtiyaga, at magsakripisyo… hindi lang para sa sarili, kundi maging para sa pamilya.
Hanga kami sa iyong sipag at tibay ng loob. Hindi nasayang ang bawat pawis at pagod na inukol mo. Ngayon, kasama mo kami sa pag-abot ng mas maliwanag na kinabukasan, para sa'yo at sa'yong pamilya. Patuloy kang mangarap, Simon. Malayo ang mararating mo. ✨
