“With those in mind after high school, I decided to take BSE English because my favorite subject is English.”

“I have my weaknesses and challenges about many things such as physical aspects, intellectual capacities, decision-making, pressures, responsibilities and roles. But my passion and genuine service for the profession. I am serving the school both as a teacher and a leader without reservations, balancing major roles and giving my best in everything for the sake of my learners, colleagues and the entire school community.

“God's gift to women is about emotional strength because of the nurturing and caring spirit of women, they can lead, manage, live with purpose while doing things with love and support.”

Ang mensahe niya sa mga kabataang babae ngayon, Be strong, independent and hard working. The world now is too demanding, ever-changing and becoming cruel. Take care of your physical and mental health because these two are equally important to perform our roles in family, community, church, work, school and society.

At ngayong National Women`s Month ang Motto ni Mam Jabie…

“Women's voice is powerful, don't let the world silence it.”

Woman in Strength

In celebration of Women’s Month, we interviewed Mrs. Marivic Arroyo, a diligent utility staff member at Dalig National High School. Through her experiences, she shared meaningful insights about responsibility, perseverance, and the value of honest work.

‎Mrs. Marivic plays a significant role in keeping the school clean and organized. Her duties include collecting students’ trash and cleaning the comfort rooms, hallways, and other school facilities. Although her work often goes unnoticed, it greatly helps in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.

‎When asked why she chose this job, Ate Marivic said that all work is honorable if done with hard work and dedication. She found this opportunity while looking for a job and accepted it with gratitude and determination.

‎As a woman in this field, she shared that the job fits her well. She sees it not just as work, but as a responsibility. Many of her tasks are similar to household chores, which she is already skilled and experienced in doing.

‎Her journey has not been easy. One challenge she often faces is reminding students to follow cleanliness rules, especially in restrooms. Even if they already know what to do, she patiently encourages them to clean up after themselves and practice good hygiene. She believes these challenges can be overcome through cooperation, as she does her part in guiding students and hopes they will also take responsibility.

‎To women who dream of working in a school like hers, Mrs. Marivic shares a simple message: “No job is too small, and no dream is too big.” She explained that being a utility staff member is not just about cleaning or arranging things, it is about helping create a safe and welcoming place where students can learn and grow. Every task she does plays a part in shaping the future.

‎Ate. Marivic believes that Women’s Month is a time to honor and empower women and recognize their important role in society. She reminds us that all women, no matter their job, help build stronger communities.

‎After work, she spends her time at home resting. Even though her job is physically tiring, she continues to show dedication and strength every day.

‎Her story reminds us that true strength is not about titles, but about hard work, responsibility, and passion. This Women’s Month, we honor women like Ate Marivic Arroyo, whose simple efforts make a big difference in our school and in our lives.

Mabuhay ka, Ate Marivic! Mabuhay ka, Juana!
