Teen Summit 2025 ๐ง๐ป๐ง๐ปโ๐ฆฑ๐ซ๐ฃ๏ธ๐ฆป๐ป๐ซต๐ป๐โจ
A Day of Empowered Choices & Stronger Futures
Last November 18, 2025, we gathered with one purpose: to empower the youth of Bacolod to make informed, healthy, and life-changing decisions. The Teen Summit brought together hundreds of young people, passionate advocates, and dedicated partners who all believe in one missionโZero Teen Pregnancy and Zero HIV for Bacolod City
This summit wasnโt just a programโit was a safe space for conversations that matter. Our teens listened, learned, laughed, questioned, reflected, and connected. They chose to show up not just for themselves, but for their friends, their families, and their future communities. By being here, they chose to be the kind of friend who encourages, guides, and supportsโnot pressures.
Through dynamic talks, breakout sessions, and open discussions, our participants explored topics on adolescent health, relationships, sexuality, mental well-being, leadership, and the realities that todayโs youth face. Each session aimed to give them the knowledge and confidence to make healthier choicesโand to help others do the same.
We have varied, and competent speakers from all fields: Mr. Richard S, Magullado, Information Officer at the Commission on Population and DevelopmentโRegion VI, Atty. Agatha Zapanta De Jesus, Senior Assistant City Prosecutor assigned to the Office of the City Prosecutor in Marikina City and is partially detailed to the office of Undersecretary Nicholas Felix L. Ty of IACAT, Mr. Denmark A. Gonito, nursing professional with extensive experience in clinical, administrative, and public health roles and Atty. Charles N. Mangga, Executive Director of Sowing Legacy Movement, Inc., co-authored Love & Learning and Leadership & Legacies to support advocacy initiatives..
We are truly grateful to all the wonderful speakers, partners, facilitators, and organizations who made this summit meaningful. Your dedication to youth development strengthens our commitment to build a Bacolod where every teenager is informed, protected, and heard.
To all the teens who joined: thank you for choosing courage, curiosity, and compassion. Thank you for stepping up as leaders in your own circles. The movement doesnโt end hereโthis is only the beginning of a stronger, safer, and more empowered generation. Together, we move forward. Together, we choose a healthier Bacolod.
