Gov Lacson Ferrer, Incumbents leads survey!
The Negros Alliance for Sectoral Concern (NASC) has finally concluded its commissioned political survey for the fifth and sixth district of Negros Occidental.
Late last year, the group had announced that they will be launching an internal survey on the early months of November 2021 and will end on a week before the May 9, 2022 election.
The main goal of the survey is to determine whether the Local officials of their respective local government units are performing its mandate to serve the public after they were elected since 2019.
NASC is an alliance of NGO’s working with International and National Government Agency and it believes that it is crucial for the country’s peace and development effort to constantly be carried gradually and continuous.
Following the research methodology concepts and best practices, the group convened a literature review and decided to come up with a research question, “To determine and analyse the impact of projects and services of the Local government units to the community”. It also agreed to commission a third-party research NGO to be able to scale the consistency of the public servants in the delivery of services and projects to its constituents.
The methodology is a face-to-face mock interview with a population sample n = 20500, distributed accordingly across cities and municipalities covered and will be done in 3 phases, the Baseline which, will determine the initial voting preference of the voters, the Midline which, will consider the changes in position in the selection process as the election is drawing near and the End line survey that will mostly likely be the final choice of the respondents.
The result which was conducted last April 22-25, 2022 shows that most of the incumbents running for the same or higher position is consistent in gaining grounds compare to its counterpart. The margin of error is 6 percent.
For the Presidential battle which, is considered statistically tie, was also added in the questionnaire but is not part of the main objective of the survey.
