The Bacolod City Fire Station successfully conducted the BLOWBAGETS inspection and operational readiness check of emergency response on October 06, 2026, headed by 𝗙𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗝𝗘𝗡𝗡𝗬 𝗠𝗔𝗘 𝗖 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗣, City Fire Marshal, under the supervision of SFO1 John Robert P Burbano, Shift B Supervisor, together with duty personnel.
The activity aims to ensure the operational preparedness, safety, and functionality of all emergency response vehicles and equipment in line with the Bureau of Fire Protection’s commitment to efficient and immediate public service.

BCFS CONDUCTS FIRE SAFETY INSPECTION AT FOOD STALLS OF MASSKARA FESTIVAL 2026

BACOLOD CITY — In preparation for the MassKara Festival 2026, the Bacolod City Fire Station (BCFS) conducted a fire safety inspection of food stalls, kiosks, and booths at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) and Bacolod City Public Plaza to help ensure a safe and fire-free celebration.

The inspection was personally led by FSupt Jenny Mae C Masip, City Fire Marshal, together with 40 designated Fire Safety Inspectors of Bacolod City Fire Station.

At the BCGC Food Kiosk Area, inspectors checked a total of 81 kiosk spaces. Of these, 64 are currently occupied, while 17 are vacant but already have owners. The area also has 12 corporate booths, 26 additional vacant booth spaces, and 16 dry-goods kiosks.

At the Bacolod City Public Plaza, inspections covered the following areas:

• San Juan Street: 31 kiosks — all occupied
• Gonzaga Street: 42 kiosks — 37 occupied, 5 vacant
• Gatuslao Street: 21 kiosks — 14 occupied, 7 vacant
• Rizal Street: 45 kiosks

The inspection focused on compliance with basic fire safety requirements, including safe electrical connections, proper use of cooking equipment, accessibility of exits and passageways, and the presence of appropriate fire safety measures in preparation for the expected influx of festivalgoers.

The activity forms part of the BCFS’ continuing efforts to strengthen fire prevention and ensure the safety of residents, visitors, vendors, and stakeholders throughout MassKara Festival 2026.
