𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐎𝐖!

Ｓｔｒｅｎｇｔｈｅｎｉｎｇ LMC ａｔ ＬＳＣ

The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch – Negros Island Region (RCMB-NIR) conducted an orientation/re-orientation session for both the management and union representatives of Lopez Sugar Corporation (LSC) at the company premises in Sagay City, Negros Occidental.

Present during the activity were members of the LSC Management Panel, as well as representatives from the Rank-and-File and Supervisory Unions. The session covered discussions on the programs of the NCMB, particularly on Labor-Management Cooperation (LMC) and Grievance Machinery (GM)-Voluntary Arbitration (VA).

The activity also included workshops on the drafting and enhancement of the LMC and GM structures for both the Rank-and-File and Supervisory Unions, aimed at strengthening communication, cooperation, and dispute resolution mechanisms within the workplace.

𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗞𝗘-𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦

𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗱 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗡𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘀 𝗢𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 - What could have escalated into a labor unrest during the milling off-season was peacefully resolved through dialogue and conciliation facilitated by the National Conciliation and Mediation Board – RCMB NIR.

Following a series of conciliation conferences, the parties reached a mutually acceptable agreement, paving the way for a strike-free and more harmonious workplace as preparations for the upcoming Milling and Refining Preparation (MARP) begin. The twenty-one (21) affected workers are set to return to work on 15 June 2026.

This successful settlement highlights the continuing role of conciliation and mediation in transforming workplace conflicts into opportunities for cooperation, stability, and industrial peace in the Negros Island Region.

RCMB-NIR Conducts Enhancement Activity on NCMB Programs

The RCMB-NIR conducted a re-orientation on NCMB programs for Acacia Hotel Bacolod, Bacolod Real Estate Development Corporation (BREDCO), and its third-party service providers, Elegance Security Agency, Inc. and JAS Manpower and Human Resources Services Corporation, at the BREDCO Office in Bacolod City.

The activity included the monitoring of the implementation of the LMC and GM programs of JAS Manpower and Human Resources Services Corporation and Acacia Hotel Bacolod.

The National Conciliation and Mediation Board warmly congratulates and welcomes 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬 "𝐓𝐨𝐥" 𝐓𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨 on his appointment as Secretary of Labor!

As the Department of Labor and Employment moves forward on a new chapter in leadership, the Board continues to value the trust, partnership, and shared commitment in the advancement and strengthening of labor relations, industrial peace, and fostering harmonious workplaces for the Filipino workforce.

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗗𝗔 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗩𝗜 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 🤝

Today, the Branch and the CDA Region VI Extension Office convened for the constitution of the Technical Working Group (TWG), pursuant to the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed on 27 March 2026.

The TWG is composed of three personnel from each agency and shall meet every second Wednesday of the last month of each quarter to discuss monitoring updates, coordination of joint activities, and the status of filed Requests for Assistance (RFAs) and cases involving cooperatives.

May 20, 2026 -- Representatives from three different industries participated in today’s small group Orientation on NCMB Programs aimed at promoting stronger workplace relations through the Labor-Management Cooperation (LMC) and Grievance Machinery (GM) mechanisms.

The activity also included the drafting of LMC and GM structures to help participating establishments institutionalize effective communication, collaboration, and grievance resolution processes within their respective workplaces—towards fostering industrial peace and productivity.
