Luis Hervias National High School has once again demonstrated excellence in technical-vocational-livelihood education, achieving a 100% passing rate in the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC I Certification.
The assessment, conducted by POWER Foundation, Inc. on April 10, 2026, saw all student-assessees successfully meet national competency standards, reflecting their strong technical skills and preparedness for industry demands.
This achievement marks a historic milestone for the school, as it records back-to-back 100% passing rates in national certifications. This achievement builds on the schoolโs earlier success on March 27, 2026, when Grade 12-Cronus students also garnered a 100% passing rate in the TESDA NC II Housekeeping Assessment at Atoniya Skills Education, Inc.. The consistent outstanding performance across different specializations highlights the effectiveness of Luis Hervias NHSโs strengthened training programs, disciplined learners, and committed faculty.
The SMAW NC I passers were trained under the guidance of Mr. Carlos Mercado Jr. and Mr. Edzel Marvez H. Rendal, whose dedication ensured the studentsโ readiness for the rigorous evaluation.
Among those who successfully earned their SMAW NC I certification are:
Alvie Dave Aplasca, Justin Babayson, John Mark Capilitan, Jandil M. Padua, Rowel Pampag, Therence Treveles, Jay M. Norbe, John Andrian G. Lomiran, and Jazrel Resula.
With consecutive 100% certification results, Luis Hervias National High School continues to set a benchmark in delivering quality education - producing competent, skilled, and industry-ready graduates.
