ENHANCING MARITIME SAFETY THROUGH TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION
IN PHOTOS: Personnel of Coast Guard Station Northern Negros Occidental (CGS NNOC), together with its Sub-Stations under the leadership of Acting Station Commander, Commander Artzell M Anacan PCG, actively participated in the SEARCH AND RESCUE OPTIMAL PLANNING SYSTEM (SAROPS) AND OTHER MARITIME DOMAIN AWARENESS (MDA) TOOLS TRAINING conducted from 01โ03 June 2026 at Headquarters, CGS NNOC, San Patricio Boulevard, Brgy. Puno Banago, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
The activity was facilitated by personnel from Coast Guard District Southern Visayas (CGDSV), led by the Director Command Center - CGDSV and Acting Deputy Chief of District Staff for Operations (Dโ3), Lieutenant Junior Grade Kristomar L Miscala PCG, who formally concluded the threeโday training attended by twenty (20) CGS NNOC personnel.
The Search and Rescue Optimal Planning System (SAROPS) and Other Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) Tools Training equipped Philippine Coast Guard personnel with advanced technologies and analytical tools essential for effective search and rescue operations, maritime surveillance, and operational decision-making.
Through this specialized training, CGS NNOC personnel enhanced their capabilities in mission planning, incident response, vessel tracking, and maritime situational awareness, ensuring faster, more coordinated, and data-driven operations in safeguarding lives at sea and protecting the country's maritime domain.
This initiative underscores the Philippine Coast Guardโs commitment to continuously strengthening operational readiness, embracing innovation, and promoting excellence in maritime safety and security.

๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐: The Coast Guard Station Northern Negros Occidental (CGS NNOC) personnel, together with the Operational Control (OPCON) Units, actively participated in the Kick-off Ceremony of ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ค๐ฐ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐๐ with the theme, "๐ต๐๐ฆ๐๐๐โ๐๐ ๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ ๐พ๐๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ก ๐พ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐," held at Domingo Lacson National High School, Sta. Clara Subdivision, Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, today, 01 June 2026.
The activity highlighted the importance of community collaboration in enhancing school facilities and promoting literacy development across the Philippines. As part of the initiative, CGS NNOC personnel actively participated in cleaning school premises, removing debris, and carrying out other maintenance and rehabilitation activities to help provide learners with a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment in preparation for the opening of classes.
Through its participation in Brigada Eskwela 2026, CGS NNOC reaffirms its commitment to nation-building and community service by supporting programs that promote education, unity, and volunteerism among stakeholders.

๐๐๐๐: Deputy Commander for Operation, CGS NNOC / Acting Sub-station Commander, CGSS Victorias attended National Fisherfolks Day 2026 with the Theme of "Bayani nang Karagatan, Haligi nang Kabuhayan, Tagapangtanggol nang Kinabukasan at Brgy. VI-A Covered Court, Victorias City, Negros Occidental, last 31 May 2026.
During this activity, he Conducted an Information and Education Campaign (IEC) on the Safety, Security, and Environmental Numbering (SSEN) System in celebration of National Fisherfolks Day 2026.
As part of the iCARE program, To educate the fisherfolk on the importance of the SSEN System, strengthen maritime domain awareness, improve the identification and monitoring of fishing vessels, enhance safety and security at sea, and promote environmental protection within the fishing community.

๐ณ๐ถ๐ถ๐ฒ: Personnel of Coast Guard Station Northern Negros Occidental (CGS NNOC), together with its Sub-Stations and OPCON Units, actively participated in the observance of National Flag Day held at the New Government Center and SM Bacolod Flagpole, South Wing Parking Area, Bacolod City on 28 May 2026.
The activity aimed to promote patriotism, nationalism, and respect for the Philippine flag as the enduring symbol of the countryโs freedom, unity, and sovereignty. Participating personnel joined fellow government agencies and stakeholders in the ceremonial flag-raising activity as a manifestation of solidarity and commitment to public service.
Through this participation, CGS NNOC continues to uphold its dedication to fostering nationalism and strengthening unity among government institutions and the Filipino people.

LOOK: Coast Guard Station Northern Negros Occidental together with the 1308th Auxiliary Squadron successfully conducted a Joint ICare, SSEN Information Drive, Feeding Program, and Medical Mission at Purok Punta Balas North, Brgy. Pahanocoy, Bacolod City today, 26 May 2026.
This effort assisted more than 100 fisherfolks by providing health services, disseminating information, and conducting community engagement. Checkups for blood pressure and vital signs, eye exams, random blood sugar testing and reading glasses distribution, and a feeding program were among the services provided.
The activity was made possible by the combined efforts of CGS NNOC personnel, CGSS Bacolod personnel, Barangay Pahanocoy officials, and the 1308th Auxiliary Squadron.
This effort demonstrates the Philippine Coast Guard and collaborating units' continued commitment to helping and improving coastal communities through compassion, healthcare, and public service.
