DAR NIR 🤝 DOST

A coordination meeting between the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) was held on May 13, 2026, in Dumaguete City to strengthen joint efforts for agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Negros Oriental.

The discussion centered on expanding technology support, livelihood opportunities, capacity‑building, and enterprise development initiatives that can directly improve ARB productivity and welfare across the Negros Island Region.

The meeting also aligned future collaborative activities and priority areas to ensure more responsive, sustainable, and well‑coordinated assistance for ARBs.

Following the series of GAD lectures, workshops, and case analyses under the SPLIT Project Cascading Session in Cebu City, the strengthened commitment and eagerness of the Negros Island Region delegation became evident. DAR NIR earned 3rd Place while DAR Negros Oriental secured 1st Place as Best Presenters during workshop presentations, affirming the region’s drive to advance gender‑responsive, inclusive, and equitable agrarian reform for all ARBs.

LOOK: DAR Negros Island Region (NIR) joined the Gender Sensitivity Cascading Session for SPLIT (Support to Parcelization of Land for Individual Titling) Project implementers held on May 11–14, 2026 in Cebu City.

The participants underwent lectures, workshops, and case analyses on Gender and Development (GAD) and Gender Equality and Women Empowerment (GEWE), equipping the delegates with gender responsive approaches for SPLIT implementation

During the workshop presentations, DAR NIR placed 3rd while DAR Negros Oriental Provincial Office earned 1st Place as Best Presenters, underscoring the region’s commitment to inclusive and equitable agrarian reform.
