The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program in the Philippines is now accepting applications for program cycle 2023-2024!

The YES program is a cultural exchange program funded by the US Department of State through the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. This provides scholarships for high school students to spend up to one academic year in the United States!

Binuksan na ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon (DepEd) ang online application para sa Senior High School Voucher Program (SHS VP).

Kinakailangang gumawa ang voucher applicants ng account sa OVAP sa o bago mag-July 22, 2022. Samantala, ang deadline para sa pagsusumite ay sa July 29, 2022.

Ilalabas ang mga resulta sa August 22, 2022, at ang mga kwalipikadong voucher applicants ay maaari nang magsimula ng voucher redemption sa mismong araw na iyon.

Ang mga eligble sa nasabing programa ay ang mga sumusunod:

1. Automatically Qualified na mag-aaral na hindi kailangang mag-apply:
• Category A: Mga mag-aaral na nakumpleto ang Grade 10 sa SY 2021-2022 sa mga public schools
• Category B: Mga mag-aaral na nakumpleto ang Grade 10 sa SY 2021-2022 sa mga private schools na mga ESC grantees

2. Voucher Applicants na kailangang mag-apply:
• Category C: Grade 10 completers sa mga pribadong paaralan sa SY 2021-2022 na hindi mga ESC grantees
• Category D: Grade 10 completers na nakakumpleto ng Grade 10 bago ang SY 2021-2022 ngunit hindi mas maaga sa 2016 at hindi pa nakapag-enroll para sa Grade 11
• Category E: Mga ALS completer na pasado sa A&E Test para sa Junior High School level nang hindi mas maaga sa 2016 at hindi pa naka-enroll sa Grade 11, o mga ALS completer na pasado sa Presentation Portfolio Assessment ng SY 2021-2022.
• Category F: Mga mag-aaral na nakapasa ng PEPT para sa Grade 10 na hindi mas maaga sa 2016 at hindi pa nakapag-enroll para sa Grade 11 o kukuha ng PEPT sa SY 2022-2023.

The Academic Fellowship is a short-term academic program that provides youth leaders​ aged 18 ​to 25 with an opportunity to enhance their leadership skills on civic engagement, environmental issues, social entrepreneurship, and economic development. The program is conducted for five weeks in the United States between August to November 2022, when travel conditions permit.
