Balasahon Traveling Library has finally culminated in its very first location.ππΊοΈ
Through the efforts of our resident librarians, we were able to hold a Book swap and Poetry Night to send off our traveling library to its new location.
We are immensely grateful for everyone who spent their Valentine's Day with us at the Natural Garden Cafe. Your presence to the community is a testament of love, and care to our campaign for a more climate informed youth, democratized learning, and accessable art to the community. βπ½π

It has been a very wonderful ride with you! On to our next location, are you ready to hop on for our next adventure?
Terrains will be much steeper, π rivers will be much longer, ποΈ and mountains will be higher, β°οΈ but the journey in building a space for knowledge sharing for social, and climate justice continues. ππ±

βοΈπ A Momentous Victory for the Youth of Pasil! πβοΈ
πAs part of the preparation for the Libraryβs second location π, the next set of Community Champion πͺπΌ was finally gathered and finished their trainingβ ready for battle!
π€ In-partnership with Victorias City Tourism Office and Pasil Fisherfolks Association, Balasahon Traveling Library were able to assemble the next librarians.
π A series of capacity building through arts and meaningful discussions was held, with Climate 101 β
π¦, Literary Workshops βπΌπ, a discussion on How to take care of the EcoTrail π³ποΈ led by their community leader, Mr. Eduardo Villanueva, and lastly a quick guide on how to take care of a Traveling Library. ππ Which the librarians were able to successfully complete π₯
With new skills and enhanced talents, our Balasahon Librarians are ready to embark on yet another quest towards making a community with shared knowledge to achieve social justice ββ

π On the day of November 15,β―2025, the Balasahon Librarians successfully completed their first quest, βVisioning & Building.β π
After capacity building at the partner community Natural Garden, they tackled a whirlwind of training modules: Climate 101π, Disability Justice βΏβ, Sign Language Workshop π§π, and Maintaining a Library ππ.
