Ayon sa Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), patuloy na nararanasan sa ilang lugar sa bansa ang mataas na heat index. Ang heat index ay ang damang init ng katawan na dulot ng pinagsamang epekto ng temperatura at halumigmig (humidity). Maaari itong magdulot ng heat cramps, heat exhaustion, at heat stroke kung hindi mag-iingat.

🩺 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐦:
Sundin ang mga paalala ng PAGASA at mga lokal na health unit:
✅ Uminom ng maraming tubig.
✅ Iwasan ang matagal na pagbibilad sa araw, lalo na mula 10:00 AM hanggang 4:00 PM.
✅ Magsuot ng preskong at magaan na damit.
✅ Magpahinga sa malamig at maaliwalas na lugar.
✅ Bantayan ang mga bata, matatanda, at may karamdaman.

💚 Sama-sama nating panatilihing ligtas ang ating paaralan at komunidad laban sa panganib ng matinding init!

The Learning Resource Center successfully conducted the Student Library Assistant Send-Off Program cm VLC Accomplishment Report 2026 Meeting on May 13, 2026, at the College Library, Multimedia Room.

The event became a meaningful celebration recognizing the dedication, hard work, and valuable contributions of the Student Library Assistants during the 2nd Semester and the Virtual Library Club Officers throughout the academic year.

As part of the program, the Learning Resource Center awarded Certificates of Appreciation to the Virtual Library Club Officers for their active leadership, commitment, and service to the organization. Meanwhile, the Student Library Assistants received Certificates of Completion in recognition of their dedication and assistance rendered to the Learning Resource Center.

The activity also served as an avenue to present the accomplishments, projects, and milestones of the Virtual Library Club for the year 2026, highlighting the organization’s continuous efforts in promoting library service, leadership, and academic support.

The Learning Resource Center also extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Tamayo Family for their approval, support, and continuous encouragement in making this activity possible.

Congratulations and thank you to all VLC Officers and Student Library Assistants for your unwavering commitment and exemplary service! 💙📖

✨ GAD Outreach Program | Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas! ✨

In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Gender and Development (GAD) Outreach Program will be conducted on March 13, 2026, at the Cavite City District Jail.

This meaningful initiative aims to promote empowerment, inclusivity, and community support through collaborative efforts with Project MALAYA: Molino Access to Libraries and Other Yonder Areas and the Community Extension Services Department.

Through this outreach program, the community continues to uphold the spirit of service, empowerment, and leadership inspired by the legacy of the Babaylans—strong Filipino women who led with wisdom, courage, and compassion.
