𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗕𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗛 | Baptism of PDLs at Negros Occidental District Jail- Male Dormitory

Under the leadership of JSUPT ATTY. CRISYREL P. AWE, DSC, District Jail Warden, the Negros Occidental District Jail – Male Dormitory proudly witnessed the baptism of newly converted Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) into the Seventh-day Adventist faith.

This meaningful spiritual milestone symbolizes renewal, repentance, and a commitment to a transformed life guided by faith and moral values. Through religious and spiritual interventions, PDLs are given the opportunity to strengthen their relationship with God, foster self-discipline, and develop a renewed sense of purpose despite the challenges of incarceration.

The event highlights the importance of faith-based programs in the rehabilitation process, nurturing hope, positive behavioral change, and spiritual growth among PDLs. It serves as a reminder that every individual deserves a chance for redemption and a brighter future.

The Negros Occidental District Jail – Male Dormitory remains committed to promoting holistic rehabilitation, empowering PDLs to become productive, responsible, and God-fearing members of society.

𝗡𝗢𝗗𝗝-𝗠𝗗 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗘𝘀𝗸𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗮 2026: 𝗙𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

In support of the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧'𝐬 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 2026, personnel of the Negros Occidental District Jail – Male Dormitory, under the leadership of 𝗝𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗬. 𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗬𝗥𝗘𝗟 𝗣. 𝗔𝗪𝗘, District Jail Warden, joined the faculty, staff, and stakeholders of I. Makilan Elementary School in preparing the school for the upcoming academic year.

As part of its commitment to community engagement and public service, the jail personnel donated cleaning materials to help maintain a clean, safe, and conducive learning environment for students and educators alike.

This meaningful collaboration highlights the importance of unity and shared responsibility in promoting quality education. For the school, the support received enhances its readiness to welcome learners and fosters a culture of community involvement. For the BJMP, the activity strengthens its partnership with local institutions, demonstrates social responsibility, and reinforces its role as an active partner in community development.

𝐁𝐉𝐌𝐏 𝐍𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐬 𝐎𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐥 – 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲, under the leadership of JSUPT CRISYREL P AWE, DSC, District Jail Warden, conducted a Clean-Up Drive in the front area of the facility to promote cleanliness, discipline, and environmental responsibility.

The activity aimed to maintain clean and orderly surroundings that reflects discipline, responsibility, and unity among jail personnel. Keeping the front area of the jail clean not only creates a welcoming and organized environment but also contributes to the health and safety of both the community and the facility by preventing pollution, minimizing health risks, and promoting proper sanitation.

This initiative highlights the importance of maintaining clean and safe surroundings for the welfare of the community and the jail facility. Through unity and cooperation, the activity reflects BJMP’s commitment to public service, sanitation, and a healthier environment for all.

𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐬, 𝐘𝐞𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬: 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐕𝐨𝐭𝐞

In line with the commitment to uphold the constitutional rights of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), the 𝐁𝐉𝐌𝐏 𝐍𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐬 𝐎𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐥 – 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲, under the leadership of 𝐉𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐘. 𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐘𝐑𝐄𝐋 𝐏. 𝐀𝐖𝐄, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧, successfully facilitated the COMELEC Satellite Registration for qualified PDLs in coordination with the COMELEC Bago City personnel, headed by ATTY. Christian Leigh G. Razonable, Acting Election Officer.

This meaningful activity highlights the importance of preserving the right of suffrage, reminding everyone that incarceration does not diminish one’s voice in nation-building. Through voter registration, qualified PDLs are given the opportunity to participate in the democratic process and remain connected to their civic responsibilities as Filipino citizens.

The initiative reflects the shared commitment of BJMP and COMELEC in promoting inclusivity, social reintegration, and respect for human rights by ensuring that every eligible individual is empowered to exercise their right to vote responsibly and lawfully.
