Under the leadership of JSUPT ATTY. CRISYREL P. AWE, DSC, District Jail Warden, the Negros Occidental District Jail โ Male Dormitory proudly witnessed the baptism of newly converted Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) into the Seventh-day Adventist faith.
This meaningful spiritual milestone symbolizes renewal, repentance, and a commitment to a transformed life guided by faith and moral values. Through religious and spiritual interventions, PDLs are given the opportunity to strengthen their relationship with God, foster self-discipline, and develop a renewed sense of purpose despite the challenges of incarceration.
The event highlights the importance of faith-based programs in the rehabilitation process, nurturing hope, positive behavioral change, and spiritual growth among PDLs. It serves as a reminder that every individual deserves a chance for redemption and a brighter future.

In support of the ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง'๐ฌ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ค๐ฐ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ 2026, personnel of the Negros Occidental District Jail โ Male Dormitory, under the leadership of ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ฃ๐ง ๐๐ง๐ง๐ฌ. ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฆ๐ฌ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐ฃ. ๐๐ช๐, District Jail Warden, joined the faculty, staff, and stakeholders of I. Makilan Elementary School in preparing the school for the upcoming academic year.
As part of its commitment to community engagement and public service, the jail personnel donated cleaning materials to help maintain a clean, safe, and conducive learning environment for students and educators alike.
This meaningful collaboration highlights the importance of unity and shared responsibility in promoting quality education. For the school, the support received enhances its readiness to welcome learners and fosters a culture of community involvement. The activity aimed to maintain clean and orderly surroundings that reflects discipline, responsibility, and unity among jail personnel. Keeping the front area of the jail clean not only creates a welcoming and organized environment but also contributes to the health and safety of both the community and the facility by preventing pollution, minimizing health risks, and promoting proper sanitation.

In line with the commitment to uphold the constitutional rights of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), the ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ โ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ, under the leadership of ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐. ๐๐๐, ๐๐๐, ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐๐ง, successfully facilitated the COMELEC Satellite Registration for qualified PDLs in coordination with the COMELEC Bago City personnel, headed by ATTY. Christian Leigh G. Razonable, Acting Election Officer.
This meaningful activity highlights the importance of preserving the right of suffrage, reminding everyone that incarceration does not diminish oneโs voice in nation-building. Through voter registration, qualified PDLs are given the opportunity to participate in the democratic process and remain connected to their civic responsibilities as Filipino citizens.
The initiative reflects the shared commitment of BJMP and COMELEC in promoting inclusivity, social reintegration, and respect for human rights by ensuring that every eligible individual is empowered to exercise their right to vote responsibly and lawfully.
