We’re excited to announce that our Deaf Camp for the hearing and speech impaired will be held on November 14–15, 2025 at Bueno Aires🌿

πŸ‘‰ Who can join:
βœ… Ages 15–40 years old
βœ… Must be Deaf and educated, able to understand American Sign Language (ASL) or Filipino Sign Language (FSL)

πŸ“‹ Slots are limited!
We already have 26 confirmed participants, and we’re still looking for 24 more Deaf participants who are willing and excited to join this special camp experience! πŸ’ͺ✨

United in Hope – Bago CKD

The City Government of Bago, through the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), successfully held its monthly gathering for Bagohanons with chronic kidney disease on September 28, 2025 at the MYTMCCC-VIP Room.

A total of 80 participants attended the activity, fostering unity, encouragement, and hope among our constituents as part of the city’s continuing support programs.

🌟 UNITED IN HOPE – Bago CKD Support Gathering 🌟

Bago City, August 31, 2025 β€” The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), through its Person with Disability Program, held a meaningful support gathering for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients at the Bago City Community Center. πŸ’™

The event brought together dialysis patients, their loved ones, and volunteers to share stories of faith, courage, and resilience.

πŸ™ The program started with an opening prayer, followed by a welcome message from Archie Degillo, RSW, who encouraged patients and families to remain strong and hopeful.

✨ A highlight of the event was the inspirational reflection from Ptr. Rainy Leih β€œRenz” Degillo, himself a CKD transplant patient, who shared a powerful message of faith and perseverance. Testimonies from patients and family members further uplifted everyone present, reminding them that they are never alone in this journey.

πŸ§‘β€πŸ€β€πŸ§‘ Five senior citizen volunteers also joined the program, helping facilitate small group sharing and offering encouragement. The gathering ended with a closing blessing and fellowship over snacks.

πŸ“Œ This initiative, called United in Hope, aims to provide continuous support and encouragement for CKD patients and their families. Each session will feature different transplant patient speakers to inspire the community with real stories of hope.

πŸ’¬ β€œThis program reminds us that no one is alone in this journey. Together, we walk with faith, courage, and hope,” shared one participant.

Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Program Update

Through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), we successfully conducted a 5-day Barangay Field Activity under the Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Program on July 28, 30, 31, and August 4–5, 2025.

This program aimed to raise awareness and uphold the rights and privileges of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the community.

πŸ›οΈ As part of the activity, Barangay-level PWD elections were also held in the following 12 barangays:

PWD Cash-for-Work Pay-out Successfully Conducted in Bago City

The City Government of Bago, through its social development initiatives, successfully conducted the pay-out for the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Cash-for-Work Program on July 31 and August 1, 2025.

A total of 240 beneficiaries from 24 barangays participated in the program, with 10 PWDs assigned per barangay. Each participant rendered five (5) days of community-based work within their respective barangays and received a daily wage of β‚±350.

This program aims to provide temporary employment and meaningful engagement for PWDs while also promoting inclusive participation in community development.

The local government remains committed to empowering every sector of society, especially vulnerable groups, through sustainable and inclusive programs.
