In a stunning display of skill, heart, and unwavering determination, *9 out of 9 SPED Badminton players emerged as winners* in the District 3 Badminton Eliminations held last October 3, 2026. They defeated all delegates from various schools in the district, earning the honor to represent District 3 in the upcoming Palarong Lungsod this December.
It was not just a victory โ it was a complete sweep.
Leading the charge in the elementary division were the gold medalists who dominated their brackets:
In Boys Singles, *Carvie Tanjiro U. Tanaka (Bracket A)* and *Alkaiko Keon R. Merin (Bracket B)* both bagged gold with powerful smashes and calm composure beyond their years.
The dynamic duo of *Edrei Isaiah A. Sagudin and Terenz Matthew J. Pugong* proved unbeatable in Boys Doubles, clinching gold through perfect teamwork and chemistry.
On the girls' side, the winning streak continued. *Selah Louise C. Eguia (Bracket A)* and *Amberle Shea A. Que (Bracket B)* ruled the Girls Singles category, showing grace and grit in every rally. Meanwhile, first-time partners *Aella Aguinaya N. Malihod and Ezra Jamill Ariola* captured the gold in Girls Doubles, an inspiring feat for newcomers in the sport.
Representing the secondary level, *Genico Jr. Bastiano* fought hard and brought home the *bronze medal in Secondary Boys Singles*, completing the team's 9-out-of-9 winning record.
This historic win was not achieved overnight. It is the fruit of their dedication, tremendous hours of training, and genuine love for the sport. Behind every drop shot and smash are late afternoon practices, sacrifices, and the dream to excel.
This success is also shared with the people who stood behind them โ their committed *coaches, supportive parents, patient trainers, and all stakeholders* who believed in the ability of every SPED learner.
