According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, our country recorded an estimated su***de mortality rate of 2.7 deaths per 100,000 population in 2024. Behind every statistic is a personโ€”a story, a family, a friend, and a life that mattered.

The Katorse Youth Organization stands with the fire victims of Block 1, Purok 13. In the aftermath of the recent fire, we came together to share food and clothing with affected familiesโ€”not only to offer help, but to uplift spirits and remind everyone that hope remains.

Hindi man nito mababalik ang mga nawala, we hope this small act of kindness brings comfort and strength during this challenging time.

Bilang kabataan, naniniwala kami sa lakas ng bayanihan at pagkakaisa. Together, we stand with the community as it heals, rebuilds, and moves forward.

On behalf of the Katorse Youth Organization, we want to express how deeply grateful we are to everyone who stood with us to bring this fiesta to life. This journey was far from easy. Behind the scenes were long meetings, puyatan, tight timelines, puksaan, and moments when everything felt overwhelming. Totoo poโ€”mahirap ang proseso. There were times we questioned ourselves, felt drained, and wondered if we could still push through, but we chose to keep going.

As officers, we carried burdens that many did not see. We gave up time with our families, set aside personal responsibilities, and continued even when our energy was already running low. Tahimik ang pagod, pero mabigat sa puso. Still, pinili naming kumapit, magtulungan, at maniwala na ang fiesta na ito ay may mas malalim na layunin kaysa sa amin lang.

At the end of it all, seeing the community come togetherโ€”hearing the laughter, seeing the smiles, and witnessing the joyโ€”made every sacrifice worth it. Nakakaiyak isipin na ang lahat ng pagod, stress, at luha ay nauwi sa isang pagdiriwang na muling nagbuklod sa atin bilang isang Katorse. Doon namin napatunayan na hindi nasayang ang lahat ng hirap.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in us, for trusting our leadership, and for sharing this celebration with us. This fiesta will forever be a reminder of what we can achieve when we stand together.
