Personnel of Balabagan Fire Station, led by 𝐒𝐅𝐎𝟐 𝐍𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐑 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐛𝐨, 𝐁𝐅𝐏, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, under the supervision of 𝐅𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐘. 𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐑 𝐍𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐄𝐅 𝐃 𝐁𝐀𝐊𝐎𝐍𝐆, 𝐂𝐏𝐀, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal, together with other line agencies, participated in Emergency Operations Center Coordination as part of the station's Weekly Emergency Medical Services Program.

The activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and understanding of BFP personnel on the principles, functions, and proper management of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during fire incidents, disasters, emergencies, and other response operations.

Through discussion and interactive exchange, personnel were oriented on the importance of effective coordination and communication, clear roles and responsibilities, proper information management, resource tracking, and inter-agency collaboration in ensuring an organized and efficient emergency response within the Emergency Operations Center.

The activity further emphasized the importance of Emergency Operations Center Coordinations in promoting unity of effort, teamwork, situational awareness, and coordinated decision-making among responders, contributing to a safer and more effective emergency response operation.

This activity aims to ensure operational readiness and functionality of the fire truck, maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the station, and promote a safe and conducive working environment for all personnel.

The activity was initiated by 𝐒𝐅𝐎𝟐 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐛𝐨 together with the Balabagan Fire Station personnel to ensure the proper functioning and reliability of the station’s generator set, particularly during power interruptions and emergency situations.

This initiative aims to maintain the operational readiness of the fire station, ensure the availability of essential equipment and facilities, and strengthen the station’s capability to provide continuous and efficient emergency response services to the community.

The activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and understanding of BFP personnel on the basic principles of triage, particularly in rapidly assessing and prioritizing patients according to the severity of their injuries and medical conditions during emergencies involving multiple casualties.

Through the discussion, personnel were oriented on the importance of rapid patient assessment, prioritization, proper categorization, effective communication, and coordination during emergency response operations. The activity emphasized the vital role of proper triage in ensuring that patients receive appropriate and timely medical attention based on the urgency of their conditions.

The activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and understanding of BFP personnel regarding the principles and proper management of a Mass Casualty Incident, including the importance of preparedness, effective coordination, proper patient assessment, prioritization, and systematic response during emergencies involving multiple casualties.

Through the discussion, personnel were oriented on the basic concepts of MCI management, including scene assessment, triage, resource management, communication, patient prioritization, and coordination among responding personnel. The activity emphasized the importance of an organized and efficient response to ensure the safety and proper management of patients during mass casualty emergencies.
