The following photographs are posted with the patient’s consent.

A male patient presented to our Emergency Department with a chief complaint of a foreign body injuryβ€”a single-barbed fish hook embedded in his index finger sustained while casting a fishing line.

The fish hook was successfully removed using the string pull technique.

This serves as a gentle reminder for everyone to exercise caution during recreational activities, as accidents can occur unexpectedly. Whenever possible, take preventive measures to avoid such incidents.
