What is Feedback?

Constructive feedback is essential for employees' continued development. Feedback explains expectations, assists people in learning from their mistakes, and boosts their self-esteem.

A feedback is not the same as advice, praise, or assessment. It is an information or data about how one is doing in terms of achieving a goal.

How feedback is used?
• Effective feedback is delivered during the learning process while there is still time to improve.
• Used to give or receive constructive criticism or encouraging ideas.
• Feedback should not be delivered in a hostile manner, but rather in a constructive one.
• Remember that feedback isn't always negative; it can also be positive.

Importance of Feedback

Feedback is a tool that can be used to help people assess themselves and their work, as well as how they are perceived by others. It entails actively listening, analyzing, and then devising the best possible solution to improve performance. It offers constructive criticism and enables everyone to recognize what they can do to enhance their attention and results. It draws individuals together and allows for a healthy flow of conversation.

Monitoring and Tabulating Feedbacks

Monitoring is the collection of important data on a continual basis. It allows an office or department to determine whether or not their employee’s performance or service needs to be improved. The data gathered through monitoring exposes any gaps or flaws that need to be addressed with resources. It’s crucial to keep track of feedback because it gives the office or department a way to oversee and improve their services.

Tabulation is a logical and systematic representation of numeric data in rows and columns that allows for comparison and statistical analysis. It aids statistical analysis and interpretation by facilitating comparison by putting related data closer together. It aims to show a huge amount of complex data in an organized manner so that viewers can derive acceptable inferences and judgments from it.
