Strengthening communities through sustainable livelihood programs, Department of Labor and Employment Bataan awarded livelihood grants on May 25, 2026 in Pilar to two local organizations.
A total of 15 members of Pilar Diversified Farmers Association Inc. received farm equipment assistance to support agricultural productivity, while 56 members of Samahan ng mga Ginang sa Wakas South were provided assistance for their meat processing livelihood project.
Meanwhile, TUPAD beneficiaries in Pilar, in partnership with Local Government Unit of Pilar, participated in a bayong-making activity using straw and recycled plastic materials, promoting both temporary employment and eco-friendly livelihood opportunities.
Through these initiatives, community organizations are provided with greater opportunities to expand their livelihoods, strengthen their skills, and contribute to local economic growth.

Seventy-four (74) participants from various micro establishments gathered on May 12, 2026, in Hermosa, Bataan for the TAV Orientation spearheaded by DOLE Bataan.
The activity provided participants with an opportunity to revisit and enhance their understanding of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) practices and General Labor Standards, equipping micro establishments with essential knowledge to help ensure safe, compliant, and productive workplaces.
DOLE Bataan continues to move forward in strengthening workplace safety and compliance, working hand in hand with establishments to build a culture of responsibility, protection, and productivity.

DOLE Bataan joined the Farmers and Fisherfolks Month 2026 celebration in Abucay with the theme โ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐ข๐๐ก๐ข๐๐๐๐ ๐๐โ๐ข๐ ๐๐ฆ ๐ ๐ ๐ต๐๐ฆ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ด๐๐ข๐๐๐ฆ.โ
The office was recognized for its outstanding support and meaningful contribution to advancing the agriculture and fisheries sector in the municipality during the Farmers and Fisherfolks Month 2026 celebration.

DOLE Bataan Field Office conducted an orientation on Department Order No. 239-B, Series of 2026, the revised guidelines on the implementation of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers Program (TUPAD) and the DILEEP Program, on May 12, 2026 at the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
The revised Department Order No. 239-B aims to expand access to emergency employment and livelihood assistance for vulnerable and displaced workers. It also strengthens TUPAD guidelines on beneficiary eligibility and transparent wage distribution through digital platforms, remittance services, and authorized paymasters.
The activity was attended by BESO officers, Barangay Captains, and Barangay Secretaries from the 19 barangays of Pilar to strengthen coordination and ensure effective implementation of DOLE livelihood and emergency employment programs in their communities.

Balanga City, Bataan โ The 124th Labor Day celebration was successfully held on May 1, 2026, at the Bataan Peopleโs Center, anchored on the theme โDisenteng Trabaho para sa Lahat: Isang Hangarin, Bagong Pilipinas Sama-samang Mararating.โ The event was jointly organized by the DOLE Bataan Provincial Field Office and the PESO Bataan.
A standout feature of the celebration was the Labor Day Job Fair,where participating establishments offered 26 local and 6 overseas employment opportunities, with several job seekers hired on the spot.
Under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program, 500 beneficiaries received financial assistance, including 419 individuals from the municipalities of Balanga, Pilar, Limay, Abucay, Orani, and Samal, and 81 beneficiaries from the BJMP Orani.
Livelihood assistance under the DILP Program was likewise awarded to organized groups, including Pilar Diversify Farmers Association, Inc. (farm equipment and rental services), Samahan ng mga Ginang sa Wakas South (meat processing), and Masigasig Coconut Farmers Agriculture Cooperative in Dinalupihan.
The โKadiwa ng Pangulo Trade Fair,โ showcased locally produced goods in support of micro, small, and medium enterprises.
An orientation on ILO Convention No. 190 was also conducted to promote safe and harassment-free workplaces. Partner agencies, including PhilHealth, SSS, and DTI, provided information on government programs and services.
More than a celebration, the activity honored the enduring contribution of Filipino workers and strengthened efforts toward a future of decent and inclusive employment for all.
